Remember the post where I told you I was offering grace to the company I ordered parts for my longarm? I had to remind myself about that post. I ordered the parts last Wednesday. As of this Tuesday, they hadn't processed the order. I was extremely frustrated. I had a half-done quilt on the longarm and a patient customer waiting to get it back.

Sometimes You Have To Zig When You Want to Zag...

The frost is rapidly sucking the life out of my marigolds, so I figured I would grab this pic real quick!
I finished this Zig Zag quilt this week. The customer wanted the riddle me this pantograph. She chose a teal thread to complement the batiks she used for the zig zags.
Don't you just love the abstract nature of this quilt?
The fabric for the back is really a more blue and teal color. I just love it!!

Going to the Dogs

One of the things I love about the computerized machine is that I can re-size pantographs. When I just had the hand-driven machine, I was stuck with whatever size the pantograph was. I like sizing them so they complement the blocks. It helps keep from having a large pantograph on a small block, or a small pantograph on a large block - where it doesn't look right.
Today's quilt is a good example. Small dogs would have really taken away from the blocks. The customer wanted the blue-grey thread, which really stood out. If the dogs would have been ...
