Flax Linen is an amazing textile! It is so luxurious! I have been making Bath Towel Sets for my Etsy Shop and will be adding Linen Kitchen Towels to my shop tomorrow!

I absolutely love Linen! Linen makes your skin feel wonderful too.  It gets softer with use and washings. Linen is super absorbent and dries quickly. Naturally resistant to mildew and stains.

European Flax Line is usually hand picked, so it costs more than cotton. A beautifully woven fabric having different weights and textures. The possibilities are endless! Bedding, Towels, Table Clothes, Napkins, Book Covers, Clothes, Curtains, Slip Covers ...

Collaged fabric, embroidery and embellishment on Linen, Remnants of Spring, is my latest piece. It features silk ribbon embroidery over vintage fabrics, digital pictures, vintage napkins and lace. It is embellished with buttons, charms and beads with a lock and key. Once finished the linen was mounted on a piece of felt and then a quilted base of crinkled batik fabric. 

Its been a very long long time since I have blogged but I am just soo excited to tell you what I have been up to today!

A lady (who met me a while ago at a fair) contacted me and asked if I would help her do some Indigo dyeing with her for a quilt she was making.  Like, how fast could I say yes!!!

Anyway today Kay came over to my house and we broke out the indigo and got to the dyeing. She was dyeing linen.

We pleated, folded, wrapped and rubber banded.
