What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Here's what I just made, instead of a quilt

There are two immutable quilting laws that correspond to Murphy's law: (1) Your bobbin is low; and, (2) Anything that can look like a phallic symbol, will.

The latter law kicked in when I decided I needed to make a quilt that would encourage people to get vaccinated.  I'd been thinking a lot about about friends who struggle with needle phobia, but desperately want a vaccine. I admire their courage, and want to thank and encourage them and others.

Pandemic Porch Quilt Show, Day #14: Cowboy Quilt

This quilt was made circa 1998, when my adorable little boy wanted to be a cowboy.

Finally, from the back - I like the way the light creates a stained glass effect!

It's been a busy sewing week with lots of progress on several projects.  I also received some squishy packages in the mail today. The first package contained my Modern Guild Make a Mini, Make a Friend swap quilt from Anne L in Texas.  When I signed up for the swap, I said that I liked Frank Lloyd Wright and orange...I think she nailed it!  Thanks for a wonderful mini, Anne!
