I Like Thursday, vintage cars, pretty lawn ornaments, and creamsicles from Not Afraid of Color

 

time to share our lists of likes for the week, I'll start with the harvest so far! 

This is the most vegetables I've ever gotten and there are little green bits still on the plant.... they are small but no less amazing to make it this far. Two plants, in two big pots, watering twice daily through the extreme heat and sun here making these the most expensive tomatoes anywhere!

I Like Thursday # 463 skies, books, hula hoops! from Not Afraid of Color

it's summer y'all... in case the 100 F. temps didn't convey that.... Summer in Colorado is hot hot hot. 

the fields are full of wild growth creating vistas

we are at a higher altitude than Denver even, and the sun takes full advantage of thin altitude. 

the lawn ornaments might melt


some might have given up!

Found: sneakers (at last)

I think I have finally found sneakers that feel fairly good (although not a lot of arch support)
legs may appear larger than in real life!

I Like Thursday # 462 putting greens, summers off, crackers from Not Afraid of Color

here we are again, remembering the small things this week that made us smile. 

we walk daily and live on a golf course, 650 homes on and around the course, so our walks often take us past views like this of the creek with ducks, or geese on the putting green

I've been walking a lot, early morning, and late afternoons, to strengthen my back, I saw this lovely lavender along the way

We walk a lot and I enjoy seeing lawn ornaments and pretty flower displays. Our rose bush is adjusting to life in our yard, no blooms yet but they might be these colors...

welcome to this week's list of little likes starting with another yard ornament, or is it a house ornament? 

Anyway, I love the way it looks against the stone, the beautiful plants/flower baskets and the bench next to it all on the front porch of this house. The house next door has a kokopelli tucked into a tree stump


I enjoy walking and looking at what each person adds to their yards. 

I notice things such as the roof on this house turret is the exact same shade as their shiny VW bug

we walked in another section of the 'hood this week and I saw these large metal sculptures in one yard

they also had some kind of faux topiary... hee hee
of bunnies, LOL... look at the real one staring at it!!

( going to chiro for nerve pinches  kept me from doing much tofday)

I Like Thursday # 452 seeds, donkeys, hail.... just another day from Not Afraid of Color

 

List of likes for the week... starting with a long walk around the neighborhood on the weekend. The view showed a storm brewing in the mountains.... 

Our housing development is very large, but on the edge of it are some farmettes and on this day I was drawn to the donkeys

I would like to have room for a couple donkeys. These two were across the paddock when I called out in baby talk to them. They came cantering over, and sized us up as having no treats so they resumed eating. I stood there a long time cooing at ...

I try to live a creative life, and being in that mind space provides me calm, peace, and excitement.

what? Thursday again? welcome to this week's list of likes starting with a metal sculpture I bought at a craft show in Maryland. I love the cutlery as rays!  the spoon on it's side for a mouth!
