It's been a busy week! My husband and I went on a three day, two night get-away this week--a much needed break from the usual routine. There was some quilting action in the sewing room before we left, and some knitting progress while we were away. My daughter and Finn are here visiting this weekend for Thanksgiving so there was a long walk at the park today followed by ice cream--Finn had a little bit of my husband's Country Pumpkin ice cream. I will share some pictures of our week below.
First up, my Charm Square quilt--I pin ...

I'm using American flag colors and adding a few little patches of a black print. (I'm copying the antique) I encourage you to use the colors of your country flag!

Well, I guess you figured out by the title that I had an AWESOME day with technology. It was a fabulous day!! I love technology, and the more I learn, the better I become. Just don't mess it up!
I have to say that I'm happy with figuring out my body clock, and I'm not good if it gets messed up! Thanks to an upset tummy from Miss Murphy, I didn't get a good sleep the night before, but last night? Perfect! Hence, I was up at ridiculous o'clock (for you), and I got so ...

At that time, I had thought I would need over 100 units to make the quilt I was making. Turns out, I need 225 to make the quilt 15 by 15 units. Someone hiking from the opposite direction we were going told us to keep going and we would see it. So we continued our hike to the lily and then headed back. I will share some of my favorite
read moreAnother brain fart yesterday! Ronda was chatting about a recent Netflix show she watched on the US's justice (or lack thereof) system. Oh yes --- I know the story -- I just read the book. Then I proceeded to mix up TWO stories that I had recently read! Good grief! At least I remembered both stories! Oh well - we all have days like that. It doesn't change the fact that there are horrific stories about injustice and not just in one geographic location and not just against one cultural group. It's quite sad that someone's position or political ...

Happy Monday. Superbowl was a bit of a blow out and this year was the first we didn't have an all out party. I don't feel like I missed a thing.
I got happy mail last week!
