What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 I was away for the first part of the week and the rest of the week and week-end we're so busy that I sadly hardly had time to sew. I'm really hoping that this week will offer more sewing time. Looking at my list for the week, hopefully I can pick at some of these projects. 

1.  Work on my Iris bag

2. Work on Modern City Scape block #24 

3. Finish my Silvia coatigan new coat 

4. Start the mini alphabet blocks 

5. Continue the fussy cut thimble blocks 

Let's look at the week I had ...

Another busy week when I stole a (too) little sewing time... I was also away on business for a few days so my list is late for this week....

1.  Work on my Iris bag

2. Work on Modern City Scape block #24

4. Pull my fabric for the Tambo star quilt along and start cutting

 More business travel this month so I'm not sure how much sewing time I'll be able to fit in. One can hope I guess, especially when there are 2 sew along that I would love to join this month...

2. Dear Jane - hoping to finish row F... 1 block needed

Last week has been busy with business travel and a very busy weekend so hardly any sewing time really. Hoping this week might be kinder.

During the week-end I attended a baking class to make a black forest gateau. It was a real success, the gateau was as beautiful as it was yummy!

3. Pick pattern for a new coat, print it and cut fabric

 I have been travelling for work this week, that's why I am writing my new list only today... Of course, this also means there has been no sewing time yet...

5. Decide whether to make a new coat and locate the fabric for it in my stash

Another week has passed and again I haven't had much time to sew really but I have stolen some very small pockets of time... Time to write a new weekly list!

Well, school  has started back this week for all 3 so I am guessing we will get back in a routine somehow. I am not sure that will give much more time to sew but one can hope! Work is also very busy and I will need to travel and be away for work a few times so that probably will not help. I don't think we'll manage to go and work on the house on evenings during the week so that will probably be our week-ends from now until... So just for fun, I have listed a ...

We were away on holidays last week so I really hoped that I will have/take time to sew. Well sadly it didn't work out as planned, we had to cut our holidays short by a few days and come home early. I tried to console myself thinking that I might have more time to sew by being at home earlier than originally anticipated. Well that didn't work either since I had absolutely no time to sit down and sew, which I must admit I was quite annoyed about. But maybe I should continue to try to draw ...

One more month of school holidays and I was hoping a week to 10 days away but I think we will have to give up on the idea so we'll probably be around for the time off we have. I don't think this will mean lots of sewing times though as there are masses of work to do on the house (and garden) we have just bought... Maybe I will manage some small intervals though where I can spend some free time at the machine, who knows... 

Quilting

 Does it make any sense to even draw a list... I've hardly been sewing the last few weeks so what for? On the other hand, having a list helps me focus so maybe I should write one, even a very short one... let's try again

School holidays have started so I'm not sure whether this will mean more sewing time or less.... anyway I'll keep a variety of projects on case I have time/ motivation/ inspiration....

 I had some energy last week as I had a deadline! Not sure this coming week will be as productive as there is a big music festival locally so less time to sew!

Looking at the smaller list I wrote last week, I can happily report some finishes. 

1. Finish block F8 - some progress

2. Make blocks for the Modern City Scape -starting with #19 - done

5. Sew a Barbie outfit - no progress 

 Another week is over and this one has been quite productive, maybe out of necessity but at least there's been some progress, which is a nice change!

Looking at the smaller list I wrote last week, I can report some finishes. 

1. Make block F8 - some progress

4. Make some pouches for teachers' presents - 5 pouches + 1 pencil case

This week, I have managed to sew 7 days out of 7! Incredible, nothing better than a deadline

To Do Tuesday from Espritpatch

 Finally I have been blessed to get some sewing time. Not always a lot, but enough to feel like there was some sewing back in my week. I had drwn a varied list last week as I didn't have a clue what would take my fancy. Happy to report (little) progress

1. Add sashing to Dear Jane block F1 and sew to the rest of the F row - done

2. Make blocks for the Modern City Scape (I have 5 or 6 to catch up with I guess, starting with block #18) - done (block #18)

 Well, let's hope this month I do get 1) some sewing time 2) some energy to create something... but I am really not sure about either considering a third of the month has gone before I even post my list!

May goals from Espritpatch

 May will have its flurry of bank holidays qnd maybe (hopefully) we will see the sun again soon... I don't know whether this will help find more sewing time or on the contrary will eat up into it? Regardless I hope to have more time doing more of what I like rather than continuing to cram too much in my head and trying to juggle so many balls at once...
