Back to working on my animated Apocalypse. From Revelation 4:

The lion-to-lamb head is just a placeholder, because:

⁷ …the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

So I gotta do a calf, man, and eagle face as well. The four heavenly Beasts resemble the cherubim of Ezekiel, but instead of being one four-winged creature ...

They make an ok flying motion. More importantly, they morph with the rest of the set I’ve been making.

Some stuff that should be easy drives me crazy. This cup design took way too long.

Seven golden candlesticks = 1 temple menorah.

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

This is supposed to be “one like unto the son of man” with “a sharp twoedged sword” coming “out of his mouth”. However, the sword looks a lot like a necktie. I dunno, all my research of this vision shows me no clever solutions to the sword-out-the-mouth deal. Some Jesii look like they’re holding the sword in their mouth the way a dog holds a bone; others just have a sword floating somewhere near the face. I’m trying to limit the design to 64 points so it can morph with the other designs (lion, lamb, cathedral, rose windows ...

I’m not a Christian, but I keep animating Christian symbols in this mandala thingy, to put towards my Animated Apocalypse. Meanwhile maybe it’ll be useful for Christians to stare at, if they’re into that sort of thing.

I could fiddle with this toy forever, but I should be moving on to something else.

This is a variation of the Rose Window. Same controls, same shape, I just added one more control dial.

My guilloché simulation experiments came from animating stars. Last night I realized a cross is a 4-pointed star. And voilá.

This has potential.
