Trouvaille_Banner_600px copy

Happy Friday!

Another week of exciting releases and today I am delighted to announce one of my favorite AGF Studio collections yet, TROUVAILLE! Now I remember when we were back in the office, I was watching this collection being designed and it was love at first sight. Free Quilt of Valor pattern from The Crafty Quilter

Hi everyone. As promised, I have a FREE Quilt of Valor pattern for you! I named it Stars of Courage, which seemed appropriate since courage is another word for valor. This is an easy, lap-size quilt that a beginner could make as well as an old-timer (like me).

Stars of Courage is a FREE Quilt of Valor pattern designed by Julie Cefalu at The Crafty Quilter.

About Quilts of Valor

At the beginning of this year, I asked if anyone had special requests for projects or tutorials. Several people asked for a Quilt of Valor project. If you’re new to QOV, it’s a non-profit foundation whose mission is to “….cover service members and veterans touched by ...

So, what makes these projects timeless? Low volume fabrics, of course! Low volume fabrics are a fresh take on neutrals, they come in subtle variations of colors like white, light gray, and ivory. Making them easy to blend into any sewing project and work as main prints. Ranging from crisp ...

Gumball Quilt Pattern & Making a Freezer Paper Template from Pipersgirls's Weblog

gumball quilt

This is our Gumball Quilt, and while one of the most simple quilts I have made in both technique and fabrics, it is one of my all time favorites. To me it screams happy, joyful and warm summer days! It is just wonderful for a baby quilt, for a little one to use outside on the lawn or as a stunning wall decor. The finished size is 38″ X 45″. This quilt was very popular in kits for our shop, but as it is now retired I thought we would share it as a FREE pattern with you.

*** UFO BUSTING ***

My word of the Year is to 'Be Intentional'

While mulling over our calendar for July, I decided that the focus will be on UFOs (UnFinished Objects).  One thing I need to really focus on is how many of these projects that are started do I want to finish.  And then I have to 'Intentionally' make that happen. July is the month!

I know a few of you do not have UFOs (what???) and I know a few of you would rather sew something new during the month. Luckily there are several sew along going on for July ...
