This is one of the easiest heart quilts that I’ve ever made.

I’ve made this heart quilt block in the past – Heart Pillow, but after quite a long time, I made up a bunch of blocks to put together a quilt of hearts.

While I made enough to make a wall hanging, you could make more blocks to make a larger quilt.

Let’s make something super cute today – the Sewing Machine Die from AccuQuilt. This die features a few knobs, buttons, thread and place for your sewing machine.

I used mine on a cute project (coming soon), but really- this applique can be put on any project you’d like.

In the past, I’ve used a die like this on a baby quilt. You can see the kitty quilt here.

I kept things simple with this applique project – I used fusible and I did raw edge applique to secure it to the background fabric. I’ll show more of that ...

 There are only 2 quilt blocks to this quilt and 
what makes it look like many more is the fabric.  Machine pieced and I hand quilted with large stitches. You will need a total of 20 quilt blocks to make this quilt as shown. I didn't over think fabric, if it was a paisley, it was in and if it was a plaid, it was in, everything was from my closet. not thinking about ANY placement. Cut square and let the piecing go as it may ! Finished block size 6" x 6"  Here is how I sew squares.

Here is a fun quilt block to make, my Nine Patch Star Triangle. Going a bit smaller today, a five inch by five inch quilt block.   This is a really fun block to piece and the colors can match or use scraps. How to make Triangles Quilt block has a finished size of five by five inches. Change the "1" on cutting instructions to a "2" and you will have a ten by ten inches.
