Monday's & Tuesday's Strength: When Our World Collapses. Book Date. Pressing On. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Monday's Strength: When Our World Collapses
Continued study of some of the verses shared in Lynn Austin's Until We Reach Home.
When I was but a young girl, I asked Grandpa about married life. I was curious because I knew Daddy had been born during The Great Depression. I wanted to know how Grandpa had managed as not only was he supporting Grandma with a baby on the way (Daddy); he was helping to support his mother and siblings.

After a moment, he thoughtfully responded that married life could sometimes be like a square table with only three ...

Stop Trying to Prove Yourself! from Adele Mogavero

Do you ever find yourself in a vicious cycle of trying to prove yourself to other people? Me too. I’m not sure when it all started, maybe when I was a kid, a teenager, or later. While I was thinking about it today, I wondered ....

Don’t Get Caught Up In the Negative Stuff from Adele Mogavero

It’s easy, especially right now, to get caught up in some negative stuff. And when you work hard at a project, and everything seems to go wrong, it’s easy to want to give up. That’s what happened to me while I was making the Lemoyne ....

Discoveries from From the Strawberry Patch...

It's been a weekend of discoveries just outside the door. These precious little pink blooms appeared on the top of a lemon-scented geranium that I planted in a pot out on the patio. The flowers are truly secondary, I bought the plant as a natural mosquito repellent, it's grown quite large (from now on I'll realize that it needs its own pot as it has taken over and crowded out the Million Bells

It’s Not About Perfect from Adele Mogavero

For as many times as I’ve made a block with triangle units in it, even with perfect piecing methods, sometimes things don’t work out so good. Sure, I could have tossed it aside and created a new block. But I didn’t. It is what it ....

Abiding in faith from Quilt in Piece

Greetings in Christ! We are fast approaching the Day of Pentecost, in just one week, which will end the Season of Eastertide. And I find myself reflecting upon the texts from our readings from Ascension day, including tomorrow’s readings. For many, the lockdown has been a trying time for many reasons, and there is no end in sight. People are hungry, cold, sick, dying, lonely, depressed, losing jobs, struggling financially and this all includes the church communities. The pastors are working harder than ever, to keep everything and everyone together and a sinking ship afloat. In last weeks reflections ...

1000 from Lovin' Life At The End Of The Dirt Road

I never had a vision when I began this little blog in September 2007. I just wrote because I loved writing and I wanted to document our days. What we did. How we cooked. Where we lived. Who we were. And I never really thought about folks stopping by to visit. But you did. And you do. And thank you for doing so. This dirt road will always welcome you So I thought I ought to document the
