Baltimore Appliqué Showstoppers from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

Last month, when Kara was here to teach at the Academy of Appliqué, we spent a day at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, Virginia. That has been our routine for the past few years, but we were especially eager to go this year to see the special exhibit by the Baltimore Appliqué Society (BAS). And not just because our Fairy Tale Album was part of the exhibit; we knew what a treat it is to see the work of our fellow appliqué-ers in BAS! And we were not disappointed. A Few Highlights from the International Quilt Market from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

A couple of years ago, Kara and I made our first trek to the International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas. It was an exciting one, as we had a quilt, our Fairy Tale Album, on exhibit in the show. The Texas Quilt Museum from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

Last week, I (Teri) went on vacation to San Antonio, Texas. As always, when we travel, we stopped in several quilt shops and antique stores during our day trips to visit wineries or eat barbecue. My favorite day trip was definitely our drive to La Grange, where we went to the Texas Quilt Museum. It was everything I could have hoped for, and more! How lucky am I to have a husband who will drive two hours each way during vacation so that I can look at quilts?!
