Island Batik Triangle Tricks Challenge from Sew Preeti Quilts

I am not sure how/why the name came to me.  I guess it takes three to make a band (two is just a pair/duo), just like you need three sides to make a triangle. The colors are definitely boyish. It fits and so it sticks.

The Island Batik challenge for May is simple - get out of your comfort zone (working with squares and rectangles) and work with triangles.




I could have used HSTs or even HRTs because there is no dearth of ideas. But staying true to the challenge, I pieced triangles.

Honoring RBG from Sew Preeti Quilts

The date was September 18, 2020. Paul and I were eating dinner while watching TV as we do most evenings. My phone buzzed.

As the country grappled with grief and shock, the Senate republicans did just that. Swooped in for a power grab in record time, during an election year, while flouting their own precedent as the pandemic ravaged the country. The Supreme Court now tilted firmly conservative with a 6-3 majority.

Eclectic Me from Ravelly1

Hi everyone. Hopefully, I'm back posting but not yet any sewing.  I've decided, in this new year of 2020, to open up a bit about me.
I thought about titling it "Just When You Thought You Knew Me," or "No! What?" but settled on Eclectic Me which shows my diversity and complexity.

I love words and my favorite and number one is the Word of God. 
God has been right there with me through my mom's situation; right there with me day to day.
