GARDEN PARTY DOWN UNDER It’s all about the vases from Focus On Quilts

Continuing on from my previous post……

Once I chose my fabrics I was ready to start.  Time was running out and I needed help.  I have 3 friends – the Zoombas – we’ve been meeting via Zoom on most Saturdays through our many lockdowns here in Melbourne.  All 3 are excellent at applique. 

I prepared 4 kits for each of them except for the vase fabrics. I wanted to put the blocks together and then decide on what fabrics to use for the vases.

Black Licorice and other things from Focus On Quilts

Black Licorice

Black Licorice is one of my new patterns. I’m doing so many of them together that I sometimes lose track of them. I do concentrate on new BOMs as they are most popular with shops.

I designed Black Licorice because of my (new) love for shot cottons. Here in Australia we get a beautiful range of shot cottons. And what goes best with so much colour?
