Finishing the rail fence charity quilt was my December OMG.
I finished it December 14th, which left me lots of time to work on other things.
I made a lot of progress this week on the blocks for the guild challenge quilt.
Once I piece a few more blocks I’ll start working up the layout. Whether or not I make more blocks depends on how it looks.
Linking up to Elm Street Quilts for my OMG.

I finished the rail fence charity quilt for 4 yards out.
No fabric in this week.
Whether or not I have another finish this year depends on what I decide to work on next. So many possibilities…..

I finished one project on the list last month. I debated adding a fifth category, Mindless Piecing, but decided against it. I can only focus on a couple projects at a time and make decent progress. Adding a fifth category wouldn’t have served a purpose. I’ll have to work mindless piecing into the other categories.
The Short List includes something old (UFO), something new, a handwork project, and creative play/design. I started using this system in November 2014 to keep myself focused. I add and delete categories as my interests change.
Something Old – I’m plugging away ...
All sorts of things going on in the sewing room. I don’t know that so much activity does me any favors, but so it goes.
I finished embroidering bear block #3 and started #4. I’ll hold off on pictures until I start setting the blocks together.
At Art Quilt Group Tuesday we made these folded fabric ornaments.
My stitching was off and a few points turned out wonky, but it was a first attempt. I think it’s begging for paint and hope to play with that this weekend.
I started organizing my fabric. I store fabric EVERYWHERE ...
No change in the numbers this week.
I finished piecing the rail fence top yesterday and will start quilting it over the long holiday weekend.
Unfortunately, the fabrics for the top came off the Guild charity table. The back and binding will come from my stash and give the numbers a nice little boost once it’s finished.
The rail fence top was my November OMG. Linking with Elm Street Quilts.

The list gets a complete overhaul this month. I finished the Holly Runner and the pillowcases in October. I also started and finished Pineapple Punch, although it wasn’t on the list. I did enough work on the bear blocks to figure out I needed a new plan that fit the style of the blocks. I also want to add a mindless sewing project.
