Free Motion Quilting – Halloween Web from I Patch and Quilt

Free Motion Quilting – Wishbone Duck from I Patch and Quilt

Are these ducks in a row, safety pins or tulips?

When I first shared this free motion border design in 2020 on Instagram, lots of people responded with what different things they saw in the design. I had originally intended it to look like the head of a duck, but many of you mentioned the shape resembled a safety pin. Some even thought it looked like a tulip.

Finished all of the framework for the sashings and borders. I do not have a huge curve ruler (Natalia used a huge curve for her quilt), hence I used my Pro Echo #12 ruler to put the scallops into the border. That was challenging enough! In the end I just made it fit. Not ideal as the curves were slightly different all over, but in the end I doubted that this would feature much.
