Valentines and miscellany........... from Exuberant Color

My grandma used to collect postcards and when she decided she was done with that she gave them to me, a little girl living on a farm in the middle of nowhere.  This one was in the box.

It was sent to my great-uncle Oliver, a bachelor who lived with his mother, my great-grandmother in Bristol IL.  This one is postmarked 1928 and is from Iowa from 2 of Oliver's brothers.  Somebody pulled the stamp off of this at some point.

Basting.............. from Exuberant Color

I'm happy so many people enjoyed the posts the last 2 days.  I have wanted to have all of the collages in one spot for a long time so this week was the time to do it.

I did lots of cutting of triangles yesterday and then basted this quilt for next in line to finish.  I want to quilt it on my straight stitch machine.

My grandson from Colorado was home for his dad's birthday yesterday so we had our party last night.  My son is 59 this year, hard to believe.  My grandson will be 30 ...

I am basting away again, but alas, not in Margaritaville.  I am trying very hard to make progress on the many unquilted tops I have in the closet. I have recently sent out four of them to be quilted, and then I have some smaller ones and more personal ones that I am quilting up myself.  First up is this one:

This is a quilt top ...
