Many of you messaged or emailed me this week, asking if everything was ok - since I apparently dropped off the face of the earth last week! Well, there is a good reason for that, and her name is Bree...

She is a 13-week old mini Australian Shepherd, which is basically the equivalent of a two-year old!  She's changed a bit from the day we got her...

...but ...

It's been a fast week, but guess what?  It's Friday!  And that means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  Are you ready?  Let's go!

It's been a good and productive week around here!  When the world goes crazy, sometimes sewing is the only way to deal with it - and that's good for productivity.

Tuesday I quilted this beauty, and put the binding on too!

For the past few weeks, I've been working on adjusting my main sewing area so that it's more functional.   After a bit over a year in the space, I have a better idea of what works and what doesn't, so I decided to make some changes.

I started by moving my old sewing table back against the sloped wall...

A couple of weeks ago, I finished a quilt!  But because other things were going on (H2H, maybe?) I didn't have a chance to really share it with you.  But tonight as I sit under this lovely summer weight quilt I decided it was time to show it off!

It's been a busy week, and a beautiful one here, too!  But now it's Friday, and not only Friday, but the beginning of a holiday weekend in the States - and that's a big whoop whoop all on its own!  So now it's time for us all to get our whoop whoop on. I hope you're ready - let's get started!

Last Sunday was the second check-in date for this year's Hands2Help Challenge, and I have been receiving emails all week from non-bloggers who want to share their quilts or progress.  It has been a humbling experience to see all these wonderful quilters ...

This week I have been working on finishing up quilts for the high school graduates at our church, something our quilt ministry has done for the past several years.  This year we need twenty-two quilts, so there's been a lot of quilting and binding going on!

Here it is, Friday again!  How the weeks do fly by - can you believe it's already the last day of April?  But Fridays are special, because it means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on - are you ready?  Let's go!

As I said, it's been a crazy week around here!

With the installation of this cooktop, we are finally finished with the kitchen renovation!  I'm glad to have all of that behind us, and Lilli and I are having a great time breaking in ...

It felt really good to get back home after vacation and jump right into a project with a looming deadline - and even better to get it finished!

Friday is here again, and hopefully we all survived April Fool's Day!  I did see a few Instagram posts of people who were surprised by snow - quite a wicked April Fool's joke from God, I must say.  We woke up to a beautiful day, but twenty degrees colder than we had been the rest of the week - and so windy you could hear the wind whistle through the bathroom vents.  So we didn't have a beach day today, but we did play putt putt and watched four - count 'em, four! - Godzilla movies!  A good day ...
