Picket Fence Twin Quilt - The Solid Rainbow One! from Busy Hands Quilts

I have a beautiful rainbow quilt to share with you today!!  I actually made this quilt last fall but didn't share it here on the blog.  This quilt sold before it was even finished - no surprise there!  :)

Picket Fence is one of my favorite quilts to make because not every block is pieced, so it goes together quickly and still has a lot of WOW power.  :)

This quilt is the Twin size.

Today I'm sharing the Picket Fence in Violeta Throw size quilt!

You can find this quilt kit right here.

Picket Fence has been my best-selling pattern since I wrote it in 2015.  Yes, over five years and still going strong!  This is a testament to how much you quilters love simple, striking quilts that use precuts.

Modern Log Cabin from a Layer Cake! Fast Pattern called Retro Tiles from Quilt Addicts Anonymous from Quilt Addicts Anonymous

You may think we forgot how to count. But today’s video is not a mistake … we are bringing you a 13th Make of Christmas!

We originally planned to remake Retro Tiles, my modern log cabin quilt using a layer cake with Polar Magic by Lemoni for FIGO. But when it was time to start filming, we still didn’t have the white fabric we ordered a month previously for the background.

But white 10-inch square packs AND white yardage arrived after I started shooting, so we decided to squeeze one bonus video in for you.

In this video we ...

Maribelle Throw Size Quilt Kit! from Busy Hands Quilts

Maribelle has been kitted by Connecting Threads in Wild Crimson in the Throw size!  I love the subtly muted blues, reds, and tans in this collection paired with the bold blue dot print.  Did ya see the dots?  When I place fabrics in designs for Connecting Threads, I try to use the fabrics that read as a solid but have a bit of a design in them for texture, like this blue fabric with tiny cream, tan, and red dots.

Maribelle is a layer cake friendly quilt pattern with two accents.  It ...

July's $6 Pattern of the Month - Nautical News! from Busy Hands Quilts

July's $6 Pattern of the Month is Nautical News!  This #quiltpattern includes 6 sizes - Baby, Lap, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King - and is layer cake friendly for a quick finish.  I've since learned to not name quilts by their fabric collection as it can limit how people see the quilt.  It looks great in many fabric collections, including solids and scraps.

The rainbow Nautical News quilt above was made from my scrap bins.  It includes 24 different Kona cottons.

The twin size Nautical News quilt above was made by my niece when she was 12.  It's made ...

Rainbow Nautical News Throw Quilt! from Busy Hands Quilts

Oh how I love me a rainbow!  Each square in this Nautical News quilt is a different Kona Cotton solid mixed with modern gray.

Nautical News is a layer cake friendly quilt pattern and is easy peasy!  Cut 'em, sash 'em, join 'em.  :)  Truth be told, I didn't use a layer cake to make this quilt - I just pulled Kona Cottons from my scrap stash and cut three rectangles to the specified size.

The quilt is pictured up side up and up side down to showcase the entire rainbow since the top of quilts is hidden by the quilt ...

Card Trick Throw Quilt! from Busy Hands Quilts

This is Card Trick - another finish from 2019 that hasn't been featured here on the blog!  This is made with a layer cake of Shelburne Falls by Denyse Schmidt.

This is a pattern I designed for Bluprint.  They kitted it as quilt kit in Witchcraft which you can see right here.  Maybe you'll see it as a quilt kit in another Bluprint fabric collection at some point.

This is a layer cake quilt pattern that goes together fairly quickly.  In order to have all of those squares for the border, the layer cake isn't simply cut into ...

This is the Twin size made in Handmade by Bonnie and Camille.  Sometimes choosing fabrics for a cover quilt is difficult, but this one came easily.  In fact, when I first designed this quilt a few years ago {yes, years!}, I mocked it up in Handmade because this collection looks fantastic with black accents, and I wanted to use black in the cover ...
