This super quick Free Bunny Sewing Pattern is great for any occasion, and seriously they are so easy to make. 3 things are needed- fabric, ribbon, polyfil.
A few years ago, I convinced my Eliza to sew up a few bunnies for some cousins.
Sewing with kids isn’t terrible….but it does take the right blend of everything.
This does it…… which just means that if she can do it, you can too!
These bunny softies are perfect for Easter gifts, for your best friend. It’s such a cute bunny, and super simple to sew.

read moreSince I have been working on donating and clearing out my tablescaping and crafting areas, I have taken at least 8 boxes to the thrift store. And, I resisted going inside! I donated most of my Valentine stuff, like red candleholders with little heart cutouts, and more, and I had just decided not to put up anything for Valentine this year. But, I just couldn’t help myself when we invited friends over for a day of fun this past weekend. The guys planned to work on his car for several hours, while us ladies had a sew day together ...

A smaller version, really meant as a coloring page is also included so you can print them at any scale. read moreI didn’t get a tablescape done in time for this post, so here is my Japanese Inspired Tablescape from my New Year post in 2020, along with recipes. Everything on the table except the flowers and napkins came from my thrift store and estate sale excursions. I love these lacquer dishes and they blend nicely with the black stoneware with the gold embellishments I use mostly around the New Year weekend. This year I am planning to donate more dishes and tablescaping stuff, and just have less stuff all around.
Most years, I put out an all white table ...
read moreThe waning hours of 2022 are upon us. Less than 24 hours to go until a new year will be ushered in to greet us all.
This year, perhaps more than most, I’m glad to see the end of 2022 and I’m looking forward with great expectation to everything 2023 will bring. Don’t misunderstand; there were some exciting things which happened in 2022. I think of friends we met along the way, the ...
read moreOn this Christmas Day, I want to wish you joy and peace, with love and laughter of family and friends. A wish for all my readers, no matter where you live or what your faith, of health and happiness on this day and every day.
I wrote these wishes in 2016, republished them in 2020 and I still wish for the same things. I wish for a world where tolerance and respect is the norm instead of the exception for all people. I wish for people of different faiths, backgrounds and choices to see others as merely different and not ...
read moreAre you ready for the holiday? I am done with all I intend to do. The decorating is done, cookies baked, cards mailed, gifts bought and wrapped. The veranda got a wreath, but I never got to the arrangements I thought I’d do. No one comes up here so I just wasn’t motivated. I have our holiday meal planned, and most everything is in the pantry, just a quick stop later in the week for the perishables. In the sewing room, I am finishing the Christmas panel quilt this week. Just in case you still have a few ...

It has been a busy week! An elegant evening early in the week meant getting dressed up, so nice to do for a change! I have five sparkly, beaded or sequined jackets, and I had a hard time deciding which one to wear. It has been so long! I settled on the midnight blue, sparkly jacket and camisole with black pants for a dressy look but not over the top. This was such an upscale party, with a catered buffet of amazing, sumptuous food. The first part of the buffet had cheeses, olives, fruit and raw vegetables.
Fabulous smoked salmon ...

Here are more deals for Cyber Monday from my affiliate vendors with some of my free tutorials. For those of us in the creative arts, sometimes it is hard to get a perfect gift for the friend that has a huge stash. I have found that consumable products are great gifts, things that don’t need to be dusted or stored. For the sewing artist, consider threads, new needles, and ...

From the aroma of delicious food cooking all day, parades and football on TV, to connecting with friends and spending the day with My Sweet Babboo, it is the best day of the year.
