Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Two Big Finishes! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Here it is, Friday again!  How the weeks do fly by - can you believe it's already the last day of April?  But Fridays are special, because it means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on - are you ready?  Let's go!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen progress shots of these two quilts, but yesterday saw the completion of both and they were shipped off to their owner!

This first quilt is a puzzle style t-shirt quilt, with memorabilia from both her own past and that of her two ...

Make-A-List Monday - Back In The Real World! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Well, it's been a few weeks since I did a Make-A-List Monday post - but don't think I've been slacking off!  OK, well, I did slack off a little bit during vacation, but I had fun sewing on things I *wanted* to work on rather on things I *needed* to work on.  First up was this Plaidish quilt...

...which I finished while on vacation. That was a fun bit of sewing and I will definitely be making more of these!  Then I worked on the reindeer blocks that eventually ended up in this top...

Isn't ...

Make-A-List Monday - Wishin' and Hopin'... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Monday, Monday... the start of a new week and a new list of tasks!  I had a busy week last week but didn't even look at my list after I wrote it, so I have no idea if I met any of those goals... so let's find out!

1.  Make a plan and write estimates for two new customer quilts.

Done!  The customer liked the idea and the price, so I'm good to go this week.  Here's a pic of what I have planned...

The white areas will be for t-shirts and memory fabrics ...

Make-A-List Monday - Productivity Rocks! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Mondays just seem to keep showing up, don't they?  But I feel like I had a very productive week last week, so it was a good week.  And Monday gives us a new start, which is always a good thing.  Let's see how last week went!

One of the first things on my list was to work on cutting out Lilli's Harry Potter quilt.  I'm happy to say that I have finally finished cutting out all the blocks...

...and I made all of the paper-pieced rooftops for the castle block.  Oh, how I hate ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? A Finish!! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Here we are at Friday again!  No matter how confused I may be during the week about what day it is, I always make sure to remember when Friday rolls around, because it's the best day of the week - the day we get our whoop whoop on!  Are you ready?  Then let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

Today I am tickled to death to have an honest-to-goodness finish!  I've been working on a t-shirt quilt for a while now, off and on in between other projects that needed to be done first.  It started off like this....

...an ...

Make A List Monday - Losing Track of Time from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  My husband (who has been working at home) decided to take four days, a long weekend, for the holiday and we have been doing some different things while he has been "off".  And quite honestly, I lost track of my days.  It just occurred to me that it is Monday, and a posting day - oops!  It took a while to get used to our new "normal" but once I caught the rhythm, it was a little easier.  Now I need to get back into the rhythm again after ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Making Progress.... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Happy May Day!  Bet you thought April would n-e-v-e-r end, right?  And it may stay April on my whiteboard calendar - because I managed to pick up a sharpie instead of a whiteboard marker when I filled in the dates last month!  Oops..... Oh well, along with the first of May it's a Friday, and you know what that means - time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  So let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

Last week I got a commission job for an ENORMOUS t-shirt quilt - queen size, in puzzle style, which means that the blocks are cut ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? A Productive Week! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Friday has finally rolled around again - or maybe you call it "thatotherday" now?  The days do seem to run together but according to my calendar, it IS Friday - and that means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  Are you ready?  I sure am - so let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

This week was a very good week!  I think people started cleaning out their closets, and I had several requests about t-shirt quilts and other assorted commission work.

This quilt, a gift for a retiring co-worker, was made by a friend of mine.  I wish ...

Make-A-List Monday - And It's December! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

As I sat down to write this, I looked at last week's list and thought, "Was that just a week ago?"  Actually, I asked it out loud and my husband looked at me like I was crazy.  It seems like much more than a week since I last checked my to-dos!  But Monday has rolled around again, and it's time to see how last week went and figure out my goals for this week.

So let's see how I did on last week's list...

1.  Finish the baby quilt.
2.  Make a matching pillow ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? A Finish, and a (Sort of) Clean Studio! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Friday has arrived in a rush this week, but it's here now and you know what that means - it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!    So let's get started...

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

Surprisingly enough, even though it seems like it was a VERY short week, I managed to have a couple of finishes!  The first was this pretty baby quilt, actually a memory quilt...

The purple plaid was part of a well-loved childhood comforter and became part of this sweet little baby quilt.

If this looks familiar, it should - it's the same pattern as ...

Make-A-List Monday - And The Holidays Begin! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?  How this year has flown by!  And today marks just one more month until Christmas.  That means it's time to kick into overdrive, all while enjoying the season at the same time.  Trust me, it can be done - it just sounds hard!

So let's see how last week's list went...

1.  Work on the commission baby quilt.
It's still not finished, but the top is!  I had a hiccup when I looked at the photo I took when I first finished it, and saw a mistake, but ...

Hi, all!

Another week has come and gone, and it's finally Friday again!  And that means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on - are you ready?  I know we're getting close to the holidays and it may be hard to share, but don't feel like you have to show off a finish.  You can share progress shots if you want!  So let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

I've had a busy week, but a real mixed bag of achievements.  Here's a good overview of my week...

How about this?  I got this cool ...

Make-A-List Monday - Crunch Time! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Wow, last week really flew by, didn't it?  And we are now officially into fall and the busy season - Halloween is this week and then stuff starts happening fast and furious!  I've been setting up Christmas parties this week, getting them on everyone's "save the date" list. But all the regular stuff goes on at the same time, so let's see how last week's list went...

1.  Quilt and bind the t-shirt commission quilt.
Done!  More pictures soon...

2.  Paint a backdrop for my Trunk or Treat display.
Done!  And I have lots ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop - or Maybe a Whoops Whoops? from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

OMG - I woke up this morning and (after my coffee and a little while to get my eyes open) realized that IT IS FRIDAY AND I HAVEN'T WRITTEN MY BLOGPOST!  So I get a big "whoops whoops" today, for sure!  But because it's Friday, that means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on - so let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

It's been a very busy week around here, working on a bunch of projects, many of them not specifically quilting related.  I prepped for my first class at Joann's, which happened yesterday ...

Make-A-List Monday - Halloween Is Coming! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Here's Monday, all bright and shiny and ready for all kinds of new mischief!  I do love the feeling of a fresh start, don't you?  But before we look at new projects, let's see how last week's list went...

1.  Work on (and hopefully complete) a commission t-shirt quilt.
Well, I didn't complete it, but the top and back are ready to be sandwiched and quilted later this week!

2.  Bind and wash three quilts for church.
Done!  And of course, I forgot to take a picture...

3.  Continue working on the special ...

Make-A-List Monday - So Much to Do.... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

The weekend is over, fall has finally shown up in Middle Tennessee, and the realization that Christmas is just around the corner is starting to sink in!  Time passes so quickly - so let's make the most of it.  First of all, a look at last week's list...

1.  Make progress on the My Small World quilts.  This week it's tiny orange peel blocks....
I have all the blocks (for three MSW quilts) cut out and prepped for raw edge appliqué, just need to sew them down.

2.  Make progress on the Birch Bark quilt.
No ...
