Meeting Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and out the door to our Brazilian embroidery meeting. I arrived early. It was good to have a few minutes of time with Sandy. I was worried about her, and I'm going to keep her in my prayers now that I know what's up.

Bev showed up and we had a good little chat going. It was a 3 person meeting. We even agreed that we need to put our meeting back to every week, since we have been having trouble with members coming. A lot have been scheduling their doctor appointments on ...

Got Our 2nd Shot Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up really early. Before everyone else. I wanted to be ready for our appointment to get our 2nd shot of Covid vaccine. Dad was up early as well. We really didn't talk much. Partly because I don't think he heard me.

Patrick and I left at 8:15 am to go for our shots. We arrived about 8:40, and the line was moving. They didn't start till 9 am. We were out of there by 9:30. It was nice to get straight in. I felt it going in, and then my ...

More Projects - Keep Coming! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and off to moms. I took my quilting with me. I did get a few stitches in on that. Not as much as I would have liked, but I'm having a hard time trying to finish it.

I did get a little farther than this. Not a lot. I was able to go around the flowers and stems of the applique area.  I had to leave early so I could go up with Patrick for his CT scan.

Before I left, mom gave me a piece of embroidery that she found when she cleaned ...

A Quiet Day...A Good Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I slept longer than normal. This time change has messed me up pretty bad! I stay up later, and I sleep in longer. UGH

I got laundry going today. I wanted to get the basket down from Sunday. I then played a few games for awhile. Patrick left to meet a friend for lunch. While he was gone, I just putted around.

I did get some more letters done today for BDEIG. I have too much going on! I did get a donation yesterday. That always makes me feel like I did something right. I've gotten 7 ...

From Not Interested to Busy from Quilting My Way

This morning I wanted to play my game that was expiring at noon. But I had to get ready to go to our meeting.

I also had to get the cinnamon rolls in the oven. So, while they were cooking I was getting ready to go. Before I even got there, I had 2 texts and 2 phone calls. Patrick called to tell me his dad and brother are coming in the end of April. I had a text telling me some blocks were dropped off at Sisters. I had another text telling me something else and mom called. Not ...

Two Trips To Tumwater Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I was out the door by 7:30 am. I was at Dan's house at 8:05 am and heading back to Centralia. He had oral surgery today. I found out I couldn't leave the parking lot. So, for the next hour and a half, I was sitting in the car working on my embroidery.

I decided to work on the stem instead of doing flowers first. I wanted to get back to the stem and work my way to the flowers.

Once I got the second stem work next to the first, I needed to ...

Trip To UW Cancer Care Alliance Today from Quilting My Way

This morning we enjoyed a couple hours before heading up to UW. I drop us up. First we had to stop and get gas and then drop off mail.

We were surprised at how quick we were up there. We ended up being an hour and a half early. So, we enjoyed some music in the car for a little bit before going up to the appointment. We were still an hour early. The nurse called us in the room early, but then the doctor was late, so we ended up waiting an extra 20 mins. Patrick isn't big ...

Had A Good Day With Friends from Quilting My Way

This morning I was getting ready to head to the Grange for our Brazilian embroidery meeting. It was the first time we got together since November. It felt good. AND we had 6 people all together.

I was working on the orchid's buds. Phyllis and I didn't care for the pattern instructions and decided to do something else. I'm going to work on it and see if it will work out okay. I love this pattern, just don't care for the buds. I will work on it and see if I can find some way I ...

My Day Changed Fast from Quilting My Way

This morning we woke and Patrick went golfing. Before he left, he told me to enjoy the day to myself and just relax. I started vacuuming the bedroom and then the rest of the house. Amazing how much cat hair came up! Then I sat and started watching my Perry Mason shows.

Dan texted me and said he needed to be at the dentist early and to be there about 1:15 this afternoon. CRAP, I forgot I was taking him to the dentist! So, at 12:30 I left to go get him. He lives in Tumwater, so it ...

A Day To Relax - And A Finish from Quilting My Way

Today we were up early. I had a dental appointment and was getting ready to leave when I received a phone call from the dentist office. They told me they needed to reschedule me because someone in the office was exposed to Covid. They have to shut down for 10 days. I said that was fine (and I was actually glad). We rescheduled for March because I needed to keep the next couple weeks open for when Patrick goes in for surgery.

Since I didn't have to go to the dentist, I decided to do some beading and listen ...

A Trip To UW Again Today from Quilting My Way

We were up and out the door. Patrick needed to go to Olympia first, then on to Seattle. Blood tests were in order. It made for a good trip, and things were taken care of.

We were back home by 3:45 pm. Then it was dinner time.

While I waited on Patrick, I got the calyx's done. Then I started on the growth. I didn't have much done before we left. I worked on the rest of it tonight. I will go back tomorrow and put the French knots around it, and then it will be done ...

A Birthday Party For Patrick from Quilting My Way

This morning I couldn't sleep. I was up at 3:30 am, 4:30 am, 5:45 am, and then at 6:30 am, I got up. I was tired of trying to sleep. I would take 30 mins to go to sleep and another 30 mins of sleep. Not fun! My mind was all over the place.

So, I got up and beaded. I decided I would bead instead of playing games.

I was able to get another 4 rows done. I'm now at 249/580 rows done. I'm so excited to get to the second ...

At Moms Once Again from Quilting My Way

This morning I was off to moms. My niece was coming to chat with Patrick before she headed to moms. I got to moms about 9:15 am and scared the crap out of her. She had the door open so figured she would be paying attention to someone coming in. Guess not.

I told mom about our visit to UW regarding Patrick's surgery. I think it's promising, but he has his ups and downs. I just try to be there. Surgery will come very soon. I won't be able to stay with him. We will have ...

A Trip to UW in Seattle from Quilting My Way

Today we were up and getting ready for the trip to Seattle. First Debbie came to pick up her 3 quilts I brought back from Sharon's.

Once she left, we were TRYING to relax and wait till it was time to leave. We left at 11 am. Travel to Seattle was really good. We ended up in traffic jam right at exit 161, when we needed to take 168. It was stop and go off and on. At least we were early anyway. We made it to UW at 1:05 pm with his appointment at 1:45 p ...

Trip To Tacoma And Back from Quilting My Way

Today we were up by 7 and off to Tacoma at 8. We arrived about 45 mins early. When we went up to the scanning area at Kaiser, we were told I had to wait in the car. So, I ended up waiting for Patrick a half hour. Once he had the shot, we went down to the water front for lunch. We had 3 hours to kill before he had to be back at the radiology.

We took a walk down the lane. It was a nice walk, but cold. The wind was coming pretty good. At the end ...

A Day To Myself from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick and I went to Olympia for his blood test. We left at 8 am and when we got there, he went in and I sat in the car. He was gone longer than I thought he would be. Come to find out, they didn't open till 9 am, so he didn't come out till 9:30. I waited 45 mins for him. I was okay with that because I was able to work on my embroidery.

I was able to get to the last leaf. I worked on three of them. I enjoyed working on ...

My Usual Fridays At Moms from Quilting My Way

This morning I was running late. Had to make a trip to the bank, then got a Chai tea before heading to moms. I arrived to find Nancy at the post boxes, so went around the corner. Stopped to see what she was doing and she couldn't get her packages because the key wasn't working. I got it to work, and she had 2 boxes. We both then headed to moms. I arrived to find that Carmen was already there, but delivering food across the street.

We all pretty much arrived at the same time. I took the ...

Hopefully One More Day.... from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and moving around. I didn't play too much.

Miss Sophie was giving me a dirty look for making the bed. She didn't want to move. I was having fun with her this morning!/

Patrick and I went out. We went to get gas in the van, then to the post office for stamps, and last to the grocery store for milk. Once all that was done, we were back home.

I got to work on another 12 letters for BE Seminar. I'm just hoping it's not too late for the donations ...

Time To Get Back To Volunteer Work Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I woke to find my batting and backing arrived today. It was awesome. I cut some blue fabric and batting for Debbie. She came and picked it up. It worked out great because she was wanting blue and I didn't have any till it arrived.

After that, I received a text that the letter for our Brazilian Embroidery group. I tweaked it, had Patrick check it out and help with cutting it down. Then I started going through the websites to find places that would donate to our group for the Seminar. Once I had a few ...

A Waiting Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick helped me pick colors for my next Brazilian embroidery piece. I wanted something I could work on while at doctor visits and other waiting games. So, we had it all picked and I was able to take it with me when we went to his appointment.

It turned out to be enough to get a lot done. So, I was able to get all the green stems done on this piece. I will work on the leaves next. I actually felt good working on it, and it kept me relaxed.

By the time we got home, I ...
