Farm Girl Vintage from My Sewing Room

After several years of languishing in a project box, these blocks have finally become a finished quilt. Yay!!

This is Farm Girl Vintage - the 12" block version. It's 75 x 87, so a fairly big quilt. A few years ago I used the barn block and animal blocks to make a quilt but then the rest went back into the box. Now that box only holds the "kitchen" blocks. Some day I'll figure out what I want to do with the pie, fruit, mixing bowl, etc.

The box of four-patch blocks is still stuffed so I'm reprising Red Cross as a lap quilt for myself. The crosses are a mix of exuberant Kaffe prints and quiet monochromatic traditional prints. Setting a few four-patches and leftover squares so check values. Good to go.

Busy............................. from Exuberant Color

My friends came back early yesterday morning to dig some more hostas and Lungwort/Pulmonaria. They didn't get this Hosta though. All of the ones I can see from my kitchen window are still there in the back garden. One flower bed way over in the back corner had hostas overlapping each other and covering up some small ones. Most of the Lungwort plants were along the front edge of the bed so I'm glad to see them removed. I have dozens of them growing in other places. After they left I got the hose out and watered ...

Tuesday News from Quarter-Inch Capers

I really don’t have much to post…I think I’m getting another sinus infection, and I am spending a lot of my time sitting around doing a whole lot of nothing. To make it worse, my air conditioner quit working, and I am hot and grouchy. LOL. The a/c went out Sunday, and I texted my a/c guy to let him know the fan wasn’t running. Design Wall Monday - July 13, 2026 from Small Quilts and Doll Quilts

Good Morning Quilters!

This past week I worked on cleaning up my quilt room, with Amy’s help. We made great progress. It felt so good to be sewing in a nice clean room.

I worked on sewing together rows of the Jane Austen quilt. The construction of the rows is divided into three sections - a right section, a middle section, and a left section. I am almost finished with the right section.

Prepped, Packed, and Ready to Go from The Colorful Fabricholic

Crazy busy week here, so anything I can do ahead is good. Cherie flies in Wednesday and we leave for retreat Thursday. I have all the sewing stuff ready to go.
