Sneaky Peeky and Podcast Link from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi my friend!  I hope you have been having a good week and a good March so far. The weather has been absolutely nuts around here. One day it is almost 80 the next day it's 40! Mother Nature is certainly not happy.

This week I want to share a little sneaky peeky of something new that I will be debuting either late April or early May. It's called "The Shell Collector."

This new design will be part of a whole new rabbit hole I am hopping down and I'm really excited to share it with you ...

Heartfelt Notes from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well helloooooooo!

In celebration of the month of love, I decided to release my Heartfelt Notes pattern for purchase until Valentines Day, February 14.

This pattern is normally exclusive to my "Play Date" participants. It's a really fun class and I love seeing all the creativity that comes from it.

Each of these 4" x 6" postcards features my signature "reverse wool applique" technique.

I love adding all kinds of different embroidery stitches with Valdani perle cotton. I think the variegated threads make the wool felt shine don't you?

There are five postcard designs in the pattern with ...

This week from Bunnyville... from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi ya!

First, I want to thank you for your kind comments on last week's post. Blogging has been part of my life for a very long time now and so much has changed. It's not the number of comments I was concerned with, it was the number of readers. Well that and how many ridiculous "Spam" comments I get from bots that I then have to go and delete. It's so annoying! However,  I decided I will continue on here for a while longer and just see how it goes. It's truly nice to share ...

Hello there! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well helloooooooooo!

Isn't my camellia pretty? David planted it a few weeks ago. The hurricane destroyed the shrubs I had here so I replaced it with this beauty. It's going to be even prettier when it gets big and is covered in white blooms.

On my walk the other morning, I saw all these white heron at the end of my street. They were having a major breakfast buffet!

My "Within and Inch of My Life" project continues to grow. I love my stitching time each day. I have been stitching since March 28 (the day after my ...

Free Block of the Month 16—Pinecone from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

My, how time has flown! I (Kara) can't believe that it has been over a year since we started our Flora and Fauna of Germany stitch-along. It seems like just yesterday that I was walking the trails in our little German village for the first time, full of wonder at the natural beauty that I was seeing. Our first block was the Butterfly, back in August of 2017.

Our first block!

We have stitched 15 blocks since then, and we have come to the end of the series. It's a little sad, as we have enjoyed putting these ...

Securing Christmas and Hopping into 2019 from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi ya!

Thanks so much to everybunny who left a comment about me blogging again. I must say, I'm really happy to be back. I am truly looking forward to some fun times ahead!

So, how was your Christmas? Sabrina decided this was the best place to wait for Santa.

David and I started a tradition five years ago. We have a lovely Christmas Eve dinner and then go to the movies and eat a big bucket of popcorn on Christmas day. hee, hee, hee. It's fabulous! We went to see Aquaman. It was just ok in my ...

Free Block of the Month 15—Acorns from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

This post was almost called "Throwback Thursday" as the acorn is such an autumnal symbol, but technically it is still fall. The weather here in Germany has certainly become winter-like, but there are still a few days until the official start of winter, therefore the acorn is still in season. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

This acorn picture was taken early in the season, as you can tell from the green leaves. I (Kara) loved the yellow-orange color of acorn that was just beginning to change colors. I pass a couple of beautiful oak trees ...

Hello September - The Most Wonderful Month of the Year! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hello dear friend! Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!

I hope this first day of September finds you well. I absolutely, positively LOVE September! Every year, this month feels like the "kickoff" to the season of festivities! Plus, it is the month that starts my most favorite season of all, Fall! In addition, September marks my 11th year writing this blog. Thank you for following along on all my adventures.

Let's catch up shall we?

There is something about our Carolina blue skies. This is an "unedited" view of Bayfield Cottage when I returned from my morning walk. What a beautiful way ...

I'm Late, I'm Late! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well, the first of the month came and went. I started writing my blog post and wanted to finish it yesterday, but that didn't happen. So here we are today. Life just gets in the way and I find being a board member of my local quilt guild has turned into somewhat of a "job." Good's like herding cats! LOL!!! Luckily, I love those gals to bits and they are fun to hang out with.

So let's see, what has been going on since we last visited? Well, first, I finished vending my very last ...

Free Block of the Month 7—Primrose from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

Ahh, spring!!! One of my (Kara) favorite seasons, because of the beauty spring provides after a long and gloomy winter. Unfortunately, she is somewhat fickle in her actual arrival. Here in Germany, we are seeing signs, in between the rain and snow, that give us hope that Mistress Spring is on her way. One of those signs is that the primroses are springing (pun intended) from the ground—even through the snow.

We are fortunate to live near a beautiful orchard area full of trails. Within that orchard are divisions of the land that are owned or leased by individuals ...

In All Honesty from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi my friends!

As promised, I'm back here on the 15th to "Hop" in and say hi!

So last month, a long time dream of mine came true! I have been attending the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival for 27 years. I have always wanted to be an instructor at this show and I finally did it! Here is my Wonderland Woods quilt.

What an honor it was and what a fun time my students and I had in class! It was so thrilling to be on stage as an instructor at the "Show and Tell." I remember dreaming of ...

Classes in Michigan from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well hello there!

Are you staying warm? Good gracious this weather is just crazy! I was in Ann Arbor, Michigan last week teaching. I left on Thursday and got home Monday evening. What a super fun time even though I had major stress in getting there, thus the reason I didn't get to my blog post last week.

I shipped three huge boxes of supplies a week and a half ahead of time for the two classes I was teaching. Well, the box of wool got lost! So Wednesday night, I was up until 11 p.m. cutting more ...

Welcome to Wonderland Woods! from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Happy New Year my friend! I'm so excited for this year! I don't know why, but I feel like it's going to be so much fun and filled with some really happy times. I'm traveling all over to teach my "Folk Art Fusion." I love meeting new people and I love inspiring creativity.

Speaking of inspiring creativity, I am delighted to welcome you to "Wonderland Woods!"

Once again, I was inspired by Jules' watercolor paintings. She is such a talented artist and one I am ever so lucky to call my friend! It was really fun ...

Coming January 1st. from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hellooooooooo! How are you? Did you have a fun and festive time? Our Christmas was nice and quiet. We enjoyed staying home and binge watching some shows and having a nice dinner. Oh...and I took a nap! LOL!!

Well, my teeth saga continues. I was suppose to get them tomorrow, but now they have been delayed another week. The last time I had this done was in 2010. It took 9 days from start to finish. By the time I get these, it will have been a month. Let's just say I really miss my old dentist (who ...

Beekeeper Pincushion from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Hi ya!

Hopping in for a quick post today as I'm headed to Charleston, SC. This little bunny sure has been on the road a lot lately!

I have received lots and lots of emails from friends requesting my "Beekeeper Pincushion" as they are unable to attend classes in person or live all the way on the other side of the world!

So, I have decided to release the design so everybunny can participate in the fun of making this cutie pincushion. It measures actually measures 8"! Yes, it looks smaller in the photos. ;)

Hop on over HERE to ...

"In the Garden"—Oak Leaves and Acorns from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

I (Teri) was afraid that the only autumnal color we were going to get this year would be that which I stitched. Here in Maryland, the days stayed warm and the temperatures didn't drop as much at night much later than normal, resulting in an October of primarily green trees. In the past few weeks, we have finally been seeing some color, though it was sadly short-lived, as many of the leaves have already begun falling.

While I love green, the autumn palette is my favorite, so it was with great pleasure that I stitched this month's block ...

Classes- Online vs In Person from Tales from the Raspberry Rabbits

Well hello there! It seems we can't get through one week this year without some sort of chaos or disaster! It's truly sad, exhausting and I know so many friends are feeling the same way. Everyone I know is just plain worn out with all of it. Thus the reason being able to hop down the rabbit hole is a welcome respite from the ugly and depressing world.

That being said, I had the most wonderful time last week with my new friends at the Charlotte Quilter's Guild. I truly enjoyed being around all the positive, creative ...
