Another Fabric Stash Friday from Pibble Pulling Threads

**This Blog was originally posted on***

The day has come again!  It’s Fabric Stash Friday!  Yay!  First off, I want to say that all of our issues from earlier this week, reported here have been resolved, and the house is back to normal and running smoothly, thankfully!

I have a FINSIH for this week!  Today I finished and am ready to send out a Mario Quilt for my Etsy Shop.  It was nice to be sewing (finally for the first time this year!) and generally getting back to normal.  Since I have a finish, that means ...

We’ve Got Issues… from Pibble Pulling Threads

*** Blog originally posted on***

2018 has had a bit of a rocky start for the hubby and me.   I started writing the whole laundry list of house issues we’re having all at once right now, but it seemed too much like complaining.  I don’t want to seem ungrateful.  We have a roof over our heads, and heat, and food in our bellies.  The short version of this very long story is that we are living without any bathroom facilities and we do have water, but aren’t able to let any of it fall down ...

Goals and Resolutions from Pibble Pulling Threads

This blog was originally posted at  Please navigate there for more blog posts as well as products.

I’m not much of a New Year’s Resolutions person.  I think the format of a New Year’s Resolution is too vague and easy to get around for me.  I tend to need a little more planning, structure, and accountability to keep myself on track, so I tend to make a set of goals for the year.  This year my goals were as follows:

  • Keep up with orders and complete 2 “Quarterly Quilts”.
    I did just OK ...

Post Christmas Post from Pibble Pulling Threads

This is a re-post from  Please visit there for other awesome blog posts and products!

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this, but my husband is AWESOME!  First off, if you’re wondering, we have decided to postpone our trip to the Finger Lakes, as it is CRAZY cold and snowy here.  We figured we would be miserable going in and out of the cold and probably would have just laid around in the hotel.  Staying home, we could do some activities (listen to records for him, sew for me!) that we have precious little time ...

On Identity and Iteration from Pibble Pulling Threads

This post is originally posted on

This is a post that I have been thinking about and wanting to write for a very long time.  It all occurred to me at Morsefest 2016.  Ok, I know already that sentence raises a LOT of questions, so here goes:

First, you are asking what is Morsefest, right?  Ok, so it is a yearly music festival that takes place in Cross Plains (about 30 minutes north of Nashville), TN.  It features the music of one of the best and most prolific Progressive Rock singer/songwriters, Neal Morse.  He started to ...

Holy Cow! from Pibble Pulling Threads

So, when I last blogged, I was going to Mucie for my “Little” cousin’s wedding.  I know I said 2 weeks, but it was 3 weeks ago.  So, 3 days before we left (Yeah, whatever, don’t judge me!), I went to the SLQS (Semi-local quilt shop, it’s in the next town over, but I’m adopting it, because it’s WAY better than the two in my town) to quilt my quilt…  Yes, the one I was giving to my Little cousin for his wedding, yes, he’s only 3 years younger than me, yes, I still ...

Two Weeks from Pibble Pulling Threads

Well, the last two weeks have gone by, I have not been doing any quilting.  I did get a Christmas project done, it was a counted-cross stitch project.  I’m very excited how it came out, but I don’t want to post a photo yet, as it is a Christmas gift for my brother and sister-in-law.  So the numbers stack up like this:

Fabric in this week:  0
Fabric out this week:  0
Net Fabric this week:  0
Net Fabric 2017:  -16.965

This is actually both weeks.  So all in all, a short report.  I am going on ...

Late Report from Pibble Pulling Threads

HEY!  I used more fabric this week!  I finished two quilts (one to the quilting, which I have to do at a longarmer, one fully done, binding turned and everything!).  One of themI had already done the top (when I did the C+S Nautical bundle tops (this one was the one I called Nautical Negative), the other I started from scratch.  I made another Wedding Askerisk quilt.  This one in pale yellow.  The backing is a black with grey flowers and little yellow centers.  Perfectly works with the front.  I made the tag for the quilt by photoshopping their ...

This is a good one… from Pibble Pulling Threads

So, I haven’t been working that much in the last couple of weeks, that’s going to need to change VERY soon, as I have to have a quilt completed for a wedding in less than a month, I also need to make a baby quilt in the same time.  I didn’t blog last week because there was yet nothing to blog.  This week, I have a little bit to report:

Fabric in this week:  0
Fabric out this week:  .5
Net Fabric this week:  -.5
Net Fabric 2017:  -7.213

The half yard that went out?  Well ...

A Quick One from Pibble Pulling Threads

Nothing to report this week, after last week’s whirly-dirvish of activity, this week, well, the brakes were stomped upon hard-core.  So, the numbers are:

Fabric in this week:  0
Fabric out this week:  0
Net Fabric this week:  0
Net Fabric 2017:  -6.713

Actually, I really can’t believe that it is already Friday.  As a matter of fact, my husband woke me up with a text at almost 11 this morning!  I didn’t even know he was gone, to be honest.  I didn’t hear him get ready and leave for work.  Me and the dogs ...

A Good Week! from Pibble Pulling Threads

Last week was super productive.  I didn’t blog on Friday because my husband took the day off and we took a trip down to IKEA…  A great trip, except for the Trip home took almost 3 hours…  3 HOURS!!!  It was aggravating, but we got a whole bunch of stuff that was needed, and it was such a good week before that, that I ended up being ok with it.

So here’s what shook out last week:

Fabric in this week:  0
Fabric out this week:  18.406
Net Fabric this week:  -18.406
Net Fabric 2017:  -6 ...

Deja Vu from Pibble Pulling Threads

I feel like I was just here blogging, maybe because I was just last weekend.  This week seemed to fly by in a blur.  I am still in a little bit of recovery mode from vacation, but we had to again, get our main sewer line snaked, which was a much more involved process than it should have been.  The first company we called, the company we have used several times before, we waited a half day for, then when the tech arrived, he stated he would not be able to do the work.  We found another company, and called ...

Home Again, Home Again from Pibble Pulling Threads

Jiggety Jig.  We are back from vacation, the dogs are home, and we are still slowly settling back in.  Our quickish trip to Nashville was fun, we got to relax one day we were there.  The drive felt longer this year, probably because last year we went in July and the days were a little longer, the trip seemed a little shorter.  We made it, stopping in Erie, PA both ways.  Anyway, the AMAZING news is that since we were there last year, there is a QUILT STORE just across from our hotel!

Unfortunately for my bottom line (both in ...
