Saturday's Song: More Than You Think I Am. Slow Stitching. Stash Report from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song

God is more than we think He is.  Even in our despair, even in our pain, He is more than we think He is.  This week, my beloved doggy, Mia, was so sick.  She may be still....we're waiting on test results.
She is my baby.
She never left my side during treatment for cancer, unless I had to leave her while I went to appointments.  She was so loyal, she didn't leave my side to go potty and developed a UTI.
As I tried to gain my strength to walk again, we'd play ...

Saturday's Song: I'll Find You. Slow Stitching. Stash Report from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song
Here's a song that may surprise you because it's Christian rap.  My son raps and many of his songs are faith based. This song by Lecrae made me think of him and other young people.  Then I saw the video.
Here's the story behind the song.  My dear, be your battle cancer or something else, God will find you.  Open your heart to Him.

When I was weak as a kitten during treatment, I was never alone.  He was there directing my path.  Please know that you are not alone.  He'll find you ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Stash Report from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song

I searched through the Earth
for something that could satisfy

A peace for the hurt I had buried deep inside

Knees on the floor, I finally found everything I needed
You lifted my soul and opened up my eyes
And I never knew anything lasts forever

Till I found You, till I found You

I never dreamed anything could be better
Till I found You, till I found You
You're rewriting my story

And I'm brand new like a morning

Oh, I never knew anything lasts forever
Till I found You
Till I, till I ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Stash Report from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song

Have you heard of the movie, "Yesterday"?  We saw it this past Friday and, though I enjoyed it, I was touched anew by the song "Hey Jude" that played during the credits.  These lyrics touched me deeply.

"Take a sad song and make it better".
"And anytime you feel the pain
Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool
Who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder"
As I listened to these lyrics as if for the first time, I realized that ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Sunday Stats. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song
When the negative self-talk is winning,
when the negative voices talk too loud,
when I stay too long in the dangerous neighborhood of my mind,
I have to remember that Grace Wins...
every time, Grace Wins.

If you are in a dark place feeling like you have no worth,
feeling like you can never be forgiven,
feeling like your mistake was too big,
remember,
grace wins -
every time, grace wins.

Dad - an update. Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching Sunday. Stash Report. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Update on Dad and Saturday's Song

I mentioned here that my family is on yet another journey with cancer.  Dad has Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer that is treatable.
That.
Is.
Treatable.
God has the last Word - regardless of the "Little c", the Big C has our back.
Tomorrow is his surgery, so I asked him if I could move back home to spend a bit of time with him as he recovers.  He smiled and said, "Of course!"  I promised him I wouldn't be sneaking out of the windows (as I may or may not have done ...

Thank God For My Cancer Diagnosis. Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Sunday Stats from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Thank God For My Cancer Diagnosis

Yes, you read correctly:  Thank God for my cancer diagnosis.  There's a verse that I remember when I am confused about my journey:  Isaiah 55:8-9.  When life hits, this is my go-to verse, my anchor.  Life has hit.  Dad has been diagnosed with METS (metastatic cancer).  He has advanced stage prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones.  In November 2018 his CT scan was clear, now it's not.
We are very close - his role throughout my life has been both mother and father.  I thank God that I have been down ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Sunday Stats. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song.
This video of God Only Knows by King and Country is shocking, but so true.  I just read that a suicide attempt is made every 28 seconds!  Dear one, God knows you, He never leaves you.  People will let us down, but not God.  Try Him.

Let us all look around us and who kindness.  A smile, a prayer, a gentle touch of encouragement to a stranger/friend/loved one could change their lives.
Take good care!

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching Sunday. Sunday Stats from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song
Here is a love letter from the Savior who loves you.

Promise Me

It's hard to imagine that
I've been there too
I've felt the passion burning in you
Every temptation, oh, I understand
Your Savior knows what it is to be a man
Promise me... promise me...
Before the passion turns to flame
Promise me you'll call my name
Promise me... promise me...
You'll remember these scars of grace
And remember I took your place
Promise me
I know what it's like when the
Nightmare comes true
Someone ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching Sunday. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song.

Life Happens.  Believe me, I get it.  Been there.  Done that more times than I can count.

Keep walking in your faith!

Slow Stitching Sunday
I spent all morning downloading my patterns and materials lists and instructions from Craftsy.  Now, I'll be onto sewing after I post this and visit a few party guests as well as my hostesses!

My sewing plan for today is to connect these final flowers to finish the next row of my GFG.
Here is the progress I've made on my "Prayer Afghan).  The recipient lost her husband to brain ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching Sunday. A Few Finishes. Sunday Stats. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song.
Events late in 2017 led me to practice surrendering my will to God's with trust and hope in 2018.  It's been a journey of growing faith, personal victory, stronger faith, joy, peace, surrender, steadfast faith, perseverance, building of character, strength - so many blessings from one mere trial!  Additionally, unbeknowest to me, God worked through 2018 to strenghthen me for 2019 as my dad, who has been both mother and father to me, has sudden, new health issues.

Regardless of the challenges that 2019 may bring, let us choose to go forth with the LORD's ...

Saturday's Songs
Hello Everyone in "Bloglandia"!  I hope you all are doing well and enjoying our wonderful month of so many celebrations!
I am slowly returning to normal after a fall season of health ups and downs.  New meds, new routines and rest have been so helpful!  As my siblings and I begin to care for my ailing father, posts will be less frequent than before, but still infused with love, faith and, of course, crafty news!  I so appreciate your patience!

Here is our Saturday's Song!  Enjoy!

This song is such a beautiful, gentle declaration of our ...

Saturday's Song & Health update. Slow Stitching. Stash Report. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song & Health Update
Perhaps a few of you have noticed my absence from "Bloglandia" this week.  Since the last week of August, I have been in a fibromyalgia flare up - experiencing unusual pain, fatigue and, now, burning, neuropathy-like pain, in my feet, especially in my left foot.    It's been almost a year since these ailments have reared their ugly head.  Praise God, I have been able to work thus supporting my sweet Student Teachers.

I may be in pain, have to rest more than I would like, and be unable to do all I would like but ...

Saturday's Song: Slow Stitching. Stash Report. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song:  Clean
My sweet reader,
God loves you.  Nothing you have done, said or thought can separate you from Him.  He washes you clean and frees you from your past!
I should know.
He has cleansed me time and again.
Will you believe long enough to let Him and walk in freedom?

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Stash Report, from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song:  Dream Small
The title sounds unusual, but it's so true!  Those "little" things we do every day, are huge!

Above all else, LORD, help us remember our lives, our work, our calling is in Your hands.  Amen.

Saturday's Song:  The Words I Would Say

God bless you all as you go forth as Abraham did!

Saturday's Song: Surrounded (Fight My Battles). Slow Stitching. Stash Report. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday Song: Surrounded
This week I was surrounded and then I heard this song, "Surrounded" sung by Michael W. Smith.  I was immediately encouraged and reminded who my Savior is!

When we are surrounded, let us remember we are surrounded by God Himself!

Slow Stitching Sunday
Today I slowed down with crocheting.  I made progress on my Spring Granny Afghan:

I also finished dishcloths 16-18/52 for the #yarnhoarderdishclothchallenge!

Saturday Song: by the artist: T.E.S.T. Slow Stitching Sunday. Stash Report. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday Song:  T.E.S.T.

I know this young man very well, yes I do.  T.E.S.T. stands for Through Eternity Standing Tall.  He bases his music on this Scripture:
He just released this album and I couldn't be more proud of him.  If you know someone who is struggling in their faith, this music will touch their hearts.  Just forward this link to them.
By the way, yes, I do like Christian rap....

Saturday's Song: Oh My Soul. Slow Stitching. Stash Report. A New QAL! from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song:  Oh My Soul
Someone who knows part of my story said they were angry at God on my behalf.  They wouldn't blame me if I lost my faith...and I have on occasion...many occasions.....
Until it didn't.
What changed?
My heart.
I finally let Him in.

And I was right to do so.
Because today my life overflows with
joy,
peace,
love,
giggles,
faith,
trust,
healing
and so much more!

Would you consider letting Him in?
I promise you -
it's right to do so.

This Sunday I plan to make some ...

Saturday's Song: The Broken Beautiful. Slow Stitching. Stash Report from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song:  The Broken Beautiful
Here is an upbeat song with a deep message:
God's love will never change.
There's healing in His Name.
He makes broken things beautiful!

Have you been broken?
I know I have.
I bet you have as well.

My dear, you are beautiful when you turn it all over to God!

Do you feel shame?
He took all that on Himself for you.

Are you scarred?
Well, if His scars are the evidence of healing, mine must be as well!
I'll never look at my chemotherapy port scar the same again ...
