Snowflake quilt-along week 3 from Espritpatch

This week we are making 3 more blocks for the quilt, blocks 9, 10 and 11. With these additional 3 blocks, the snowflake is really starting to show now. I love where this is going.

With these additional 3 blocks done, I have sewn 14 blocks in September, I think this is a long time since I have done so much patchwork and it feels good. So good that I might have started on other quilt-along.... Watch this space!

Stash Hash Quilt-Along: Week 10 from A Little Bit Biased

 Hello, hello!
Welcome to week 10 of the Stash Hash Quilt-Along!

If you are making the throw size quilt then you are finished making blocks!  Yay!
You can use this week to catch up or start sewing your blocks into rows.
If you're making the full size quilt, the assignment is to make 3 Hashtag blocks.

Here are mine.

I'm getting excited to finish this quilt!
I'm even starting to think about how I want to quilt it!
I could do cables to look like a winter sweater or some sort of swirly snowflake pattern.
Do you ...

Snowflake week 2 from Espritpatch

For week 2 of the quilt-along, we are sewing blocks 6 to 8. 6 and 8 are mainly background fabric with a little white, whereas block 7 has one tip of the snowflake.

With all the squares cut off and the HST assembled and trimmed, it goes quite quickly to make the blocks. I am happy that all the fabric comes from stash.

The final week of the quilt along will be the assembly of the quilt blocks but I went a little ahead of myself with all the blocks I have made so far.

Stash Hash Quilt-Along: Week 9 from A Little Bit Biased

Good morning!  I hope you had a great weekend!  Did you do anything fun?
My husband was out of town so me and the kids went to our favorite breakfast spot and
a few thrift stores.  I also made some progress on my upcoming patriotic pattern and my
hand-quilting project.  It was a nice weekend.

Anyways, it's week 9 of the Stash Hash Quilt-Along and
the assignment for this week is to make 2 Star blocks.  Here are mine:

I'm really loving the black mixed in with the reds and greens of this Christmas quilt.
Do you have ...

Diving deep in the UFO box, Super Mario from Espritpatch

With some free time on my hand, I have been trying to sort out some parts of the house. I have attacked different places like the office/sewing room, the living room, the storage room but also the loft! There is so much "stuff" everywhere and so much that we will realistically never use again. I have already filled 2 big recycling bin with some very old paperwork, sold a few things on that we will not reuse and pass some things of for others to love and enjoy. Of course, there is plenty more to go through but at ...

Welcome to week 8 of the Stash-Hash Quilt-Along!

Can you believe we're already a week into September?!?
Anyone else secretly counting down the days until the new year?
I'm okay for 2020 to be over. I really am haha.

The assignment for week 8 is to make 2 Hashtag blocks.  Easy peasy, right?

I'm loving using the Christmas 10" squares that I got from a fabric swap last year.
So tell me, are you using your stash for this quilt or did you buy fabric for it?

Well that's it for this week!

Please keep sharing ...

Phillip from Jean Swenson

Phillip
September 2020

Here’s my blue version from Jacquelynne Steves Silver Linings SAL (sew along) that I participated in during the Spring. Like my pink version, Aurora, I stitched an owl to work with my overall owl theme. But instead of embroidering the owl this time, I did it as cross-stitch, since I’m much more familiar with cross stitching — much fewer stitches to know/learn than embroidery </p>

#busyinthekitchen from Espritpatch

Vintage Kitchen has been quilted for a few months now and was only waiting for the binding.

There wasn't such a massive length to sew but for some reason, I have only picked it up this weekend to finish it up.

I also embroidered on the pots and finished this afternoon, just in time for August One monthly goal!

Now it is all finished I don't have space to hang it. I will have to rethink some deco to make room for it.

Size: 39.5' x40.5'
Fabric from my stash (top and backing)

Stash Hash Quilt-Along: Week 6 from A Little Bit Biased

Good morning friends!  I hope you all had a great weekend!
Mine was very restful and I definitely needed that time to rejuvenate from some commitments
I had these past few weeks!  I did do some sewing on my Stash Hash quilt...
which brings me to introduce the assignment for week 6 of the Stash Hash Quilt-Along.

The assignment for this week is to make 3 Hashtag Blocks.
These are easy peasy (as you already know).  Especially when you chain-piece each of the units.

Chain-piecing is a time-saving quilting technique similar to an assembly line.
You repeat a single sewing ...
