Psalm 7, Fiber Fun, Literary Living, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank you all for you sweet comments on my new header.  I was playing with blogger's layout and decided to go for it!  While we're talking about blogging, thank you all for your patience as I grieve Daddy.  I’m finally starting to comment and respond to your sweet comments again! As spring begins to peek around the corner, my joy is slowly returning. It feels strange, but wonderful to laugh, play with my grandbabies, and rediscover joy in everyday life again. It's fabulous to reconnect with all of you!

I had such a relaxing ...

Psalm 6, Fiber Fun, Literary Living, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank you for stopping in! I hope your week was fabulous and that the coming week is even better. I was quite productive this week and even finished two books! It feels like I am finally getting my "land legs" back after my father's passing. Though I’m a bit late, I’m ready to set my goals for the year:
  1. Prioritize a healthier lifestyle with the goal of moving away from at least one medication.
  2. Continue sewing from my stash, only purchasing new fabric when necessary to complete a specific project.
  3. Finish my "Quilt As You ...

Matthew 6:33, Fiber Fun, Literary Living, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Welcome back! Are you settling back into a normal rhythm now that the holiday rush has faded? One of my favorite parts of the year is that quiet 'in-between' week from Christmas to New Year’s. For me, it’s a time for rest and reflection. After being "freed" from quaranting in my bedroom, I'm eager to get settled back into my home office.  However, I decided to leave my devotional materials in the cozy corner I created in my bedroom. I managed to tick off most of my goals, finish two great audiobooks, and watched a ...

Psalm 3, Fiber Fun, Literary Living, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate your time and visit!  This week my son had the terrible after-COVID-migraines.   Last night he showed signs of improvement and even asked for pizza!  I think we may start with homemade chicken soup.  LOL!

So it’s been a pretty quiet week around here—lots of reading, sewing, and playing my Township game. I definitely set a timer, because that game can be surprisingly time-consuming. My grandchildren are thrilled that I’ve finally joined them in an online game, and they’ve been patiently—and very gently—showing me the ropes ...

Finding God in the Psalms: Psalm 2, Fiber Fun, Literary Living, Finding Joy from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There,
Thank you for stopping by!    I've enjoyed visiting your blogs and catching up with your lives.
This week we've been in quarantine as a few family members have COVID.  Thankfully, by the grace of God, I'm healthy.  We've sectioned off the house and I've actually enjoyed living in my bedroom by creating a mini office, a small library and a hand sewing area. Thankfully, my family members have turned the corner and are slowly improving.

As I shared last week, the post- holiday grief very much surprised me as I mourned my precious ...

Weekly Word: Psalms 30:5 Joy comes in the Morning + Books, Stitching and Gratitude! from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello There!
I'm so glad you stopped in for a visit!  Have you heard of the saying "things happen in threes?"  Have you ever had one of those weeks where you experience the "threes" and they get progressively worse?
Sure you have.  We all have.  I just had one of those weeks.  Ug. And more ug.
This week's Weekly Word is breaking off from Psalm 25 and I'll share how God helped me deal with this past week.
On a different note, My Reading Life was placed on the back burner as I had great visits with ...

Weekly Word: Managing Curve Balls + Books, Stitches and Gratitude! from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Hello there!

Thank you so much for stopping by!   I hope you all are doing well!  I missed visiting with all of you last week!  We had an unexpected and pleasant 6 days with our grandchildren - all four of them!  They range in age from 12 to 5 years old.  The way my daughter has raised them made it so much easier as each child has their own chores and "The Bigs" helped so much with "The Littles"!

I greatly enjoyed my time with them:  conversations with the oldest two, playing with the youngest, sewing and reading Nancy Drew with ...
