Car Club Event, Ducks, and Quilting from From My Carolina Home

This past Sunday was the New Member Picnic for our car club, and we were in charge of it. It took a few months and a lot of work to plan, and it is good to have it done. For the meal, we were having it catered instead of it being a potluck as in years past. The choice of roast beef sandwich, turkey sandwich or strawberry pecan salad was made when folks signed up for the event. So, I needed lunch tickets. I pulled three colors of card stock, and stamped them. The yellow has a turkey on it ...

October 20, 2022 from Ravelly1

Good heavens.......I've not been posting so quite some time. Here's a bit of what I've been doing in not certain order.

My community group hosted a car show. It was so much fun. The white Chevy truck took first place.

Temps were in the low 80s, with low humidity, and a breeze that at ...

Ham Apple Salad Wraps from From My Carolina Home

I had leftover ham from baking a large one recently. I wanted to do something different with the bits and pieces too small for slicing for sandwiches. Generally, I don’t care for chicken or tuna salad sandwiches as they usually have nuts or celery, both things I cannot stand. But on a trip last summer, I had a chicken salad sandwich with apples for crunch, and liked it. With the ham bits, I thought this might be a fresh way to serve leftover ham. The apple provides sweetness and crunch and I added a spicy dressing to balance the ...
