It’s been a busy week around here! One stitch has led to another and several add-on gifts have been created. In yesterday’s post, I made some mini stitched ornaments using the decorative stitches in the PFAFF quilt expression 720. Today I want to show yet another type of stitch available on this machine – stacking stitches – and a fun way to turn them into a gift!

Decorative and floating stitches unite to make the gift giving season easy from Quilt Social

How many people are on your gift list? Too many to make quilts for that’s for sure! But quick little handmade gifts are appreciated too. The fun never seems to end when using the PFAFF quilt expression 720! This week I’m exploring the Stitch Creator feature and working on making some small stitched gifts. Tidy topstitching makes the Sew Joy quilted banner sparkle! from Quilt Social

This has been such a fun week for me! I enjoy learning something new and trying free motion quilting with the PFAFF quilt expression 720 has been a rewarding experience. In yesterday’s post, I tried free motion quilting with the quilt expression 720. Today I’m finishing the quilted banner.

Sometimes you need someone to hold your hand when trying something new. The PFAFF quilt expression 720 is definitely user-friendly when it comes to starting the free motion quilting journey.

There’s always something new to learn! I’ve been quilting for a few decades and am just feeling finally ready to learn how to free motion quilt. Stippling options built-in the quilt expression 720 make creativity soar from Quilt Social

Are we having fun yet? Adding stitches to the quilted tote bag is like adding decorative touches to a special cake – it’s hard not to add all of the desired elements! In yesterday’s post, I completed the front of the quilted tote bag adding lots of spectacular built-in stitches from the PFAFF quilt expression 720. Today there’s a little more piecing to construct the back panel and then a few more stitches to add before quilting the bag panels.

Creating a tote bag is just the first step this week. In yesterday’s post, I explained three of the several presser feet for the PFAFF quilt expression 720. These are the feet used with the machine’s built-in decorative stitches. As you’ll see, I added some stitches as I assembled the tote bag panels instead of waiting until the end. Finishing the quilted umbrella cushion with a zipper from Quilt Social

This has been a fun week of play and discovery. I hope you have enjoyed creating a somewhat whimsical reminder of the change of season with the quilted umbrella panel and then traipsing through your stash of scraps to find fabrics for the patchwork panel (I hope it was a fruitful search!)
