Several years ago – I have no idea how many, maybe six or eight? It all started with a pack of 5 inch squares. I pulled fabrics from my stash that went with the charm pack, including white and dragonfly fabric by Kathy Davis. With a vague plan, I began sewing half square triangles and trying different layouts on the design wall. Finally, landing on a layout I liked, I knew it needed something else. read moreIn about 5 weeks or so my brother and his wife will be welcoming their first child, a baby boy. The color scheme of the baby’s bedroom is based on a soft minty color that has a grey undertone. They gave me a color swatch in the form of a the paint stick they had used and asked me to match it in a baby quilt.
I was able to match it pretty perfectly! Yay for big fabric stashes!

read moreIt has been a very busy year for me. According to Paul, all the busy-ness is self-created and self-inflicted. He is mostly correct and even if he was not, I am not going to argue with him. He is the only quilt model I have in these pandemic times. Cannot afford to irritate him.
Me: So busy that I have not made a single zippered bag this year.
Paul(in mock horror): NO.
Me: Even before I finish this thing, I have the next one ready to go, with no time to play ...
