How does that cool die cut machine really work? from Pat Sloan's Blog

Pat sloan gemini 25 discount

I recently hinted that I found a wonderful new tool when I was at the trade show in Houston, it's arrived!

My friend Katy Jones wrote me before I went to the show. She works with Crafter's Companion company and asked me if I'd like to take a look at the die cut machine they make. If Katy asks me, I'm going to take a look! I've known Katy for a long time, she has been on  my podcast, and she is a super talented quilt maker and friend.

Fa-La-La A giveway of the BEST kind! from Pat Sloan's Blog

Pat sloan splendid sampler for madge

Welcome Splendid Sampler Quilters!

My block today is to honor my amazing mother-in-law Madge.

I hit the jackpot on getting the best MIL there is!

Madge and I share a love of quilting and gardening. Our two favorite things to talk about. She is also an amazing seamstress. Making most of her clothing since she was a teenager. Quite posh, I love that photo of her showing off a new outfit!

I actually learned to quilt before Madge did. When she started to take classes her beginner sampler had a 'Honey bee' block, and I really wished mine had one ...

Binding Done! from The Modern Diary

The Pat Sloan Storytelling Library BOM was quilted by Barb and delivered to me yesterday.  I finished up the clue for Good Fortune and got it bound tonight.
Ros quilted Betty's Choice for me and also delivered it to the party.  This was a Rainbow Scrap Challenge that Amy and I did in 2015.  I made the Betty's Choice blocks (in Quiltmaker, they are a Bonnie block) and Amy made the nine patch/couthouse steps blocks.  Ros liked it so much she wants the pattern.  I put a scrappy binding on both these quilts..love how they look ...
