How to Sew a Prism Puzzle Quilt Block Tutorial from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Fabrics that make you smile, are my kind of fabrics! This is why AGF Studio’s lastest collection called Selva is my favorite new fabric to sew with. Not only are the prints super adorable and playful but the colors are lively, fresh, and gender-neutral.

This collection is perfect for creating kid decor, clothes, and accessories. With its efficient fussy cutting capabilities, I have been happily busy making fun quilty projects.  For the next addition to the AGF Quilt Block Collection, I sewed up the ”Prism Puzzle” Block! With so many moving parts to this block and a cute assortment ...

As a child, I used to love to hear stories of magical worlds filled with unexplained beauty, make-believe creatures, and stories that would my take your mind on an insightful journey packed with adventure and possibilities.

Alexandra Bordallo’s debut collection for AGF called Dew and Moss brings me back to my youth with her whimsy prints illustrating a world where gnomes play in their gardens and live in their mushroom houses. Not only are all the prints super adorable, but the color palette is what caught my eye right away. The shades of green mixed with the wonderful pops ...

What you get for free from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Don't forget that this weekend is Quilts at the Creek at Black Creek Pioneer Village. This is the LAST time this show will be held (unless someone comes forward to organize it!).  There'll be loads of gorgeous quilts to see and some of them are for sale! There's the Prince challenge (Cherrywood) to view which is going to be stunning and if you see no other show, this exhibit one is worth a visit. It's indoors I believe so if you need to cool down, this is the place to go.

There's going to be ...

Did you grow up in a fishing family? My Dad growing up would go fishing with his brothers as often as they could all throughout the Summer months and it would turn into ice fishing in the Winter months. Growing up I always wanted to learn but never got the chance. I love being on the water though, kayaking and enjoying the lake life and Mister Domestic’s fabric collection called Catch and Release has me wanting to hit the water for a relaxing lazy day.

I decided to sew up the “Flying Star” block which shows off the relaxing ...

Who knew my sewing machine could do that? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

A super productive day yesterday. Oh boy - I feel like I'm in auto mode - just keep sewing!

DH was prepping for a quick trip and comes to me with his duffle bag that has a seam that has ripped open. Can I fix it? Normally, I would take forever to do something like that, however, I also had something similar that needed fixing so I grabbed both items and headed to the sewing machine.

The materials were quite stiff, but I set the Sewing Advisor on the Husqvarna Viking Ruby Royale to HEAVY and away I went. I didn ...

Scrap Attack! from Sew........This Is My Blog

Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict has put forth a Scrap Attack challenge for 2018.  Here's how it works.  I have chosen twelve scrap projects for the coming year, written them on slips of paper, and put the strips in a little gift bag in my sewing room. At the beginning of each month I'll pull a slip from the bag and that will be my scrap goal for the month along with whatever other project I'm working on at the time.

Here are my twelve.

1.  Make something using some of these 2.5" batik ...
