Hi All,

I am writing this on Tuesday night and I am not sure how much time I am going to get to edit it tomorrow. Firstly there is a sewing day at my home tomorrow and secondly there is the problem I have with my laptop at the moment. Since this morning my word documents and photos have been unable to be accessed as required to load them to the blog or just to save new ones! Grrrr. I hope my friendly computer guy will be able to come and help me during the day but that is yet ...

Welcome to Happy Mail Wednesday.
WOW! I think lots of you are back from holidays by the look of what is turning up in the PO Box. My husband was with me today when I went to post off a quilt and laundry bag and two 3 kg satchels (Karen B and Sue they are on their way) and so I got him to check the PO Box while I got served. He came back saying there was a parcel to pick and that was an understatement! There were about 6 or 7!

QOTW December 21 from Aussie Hero Quilts

940 quilts and 1345 laundry bags to date!

Considering how close we are to Christmas and how busy everyone is with shopping and baking and wrapping and travelling and, no doubt, adjudicating who is going where for Christmas lunch and dinner, I am amazed we managed to get any quilts off - but we did!

And not only that, but we have some new people join us! New people just before Christmas! A big well done everyone!

Janie is new to AHQ and sent off her first quilt this week.

Another great week!

Just to round off the statistics 58 quilt requests are underway.

Caroline and I put this quilt top together. The centre is actually two pieced panels that were donated by my friend, Del. Caroline and I used material donated by the Original Aussie Hero's wife, Jenny to border it and back it and then Caroline quilted it on her new Sweet 16 (the teenager she calls it) and bound it.

And Caroline made the cute laundry bag to go with it.
