Summery Vibes: Sun Kissed Fabric Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Even though it's technically winter, here in Florida we're used to warm sunshine this time of year! You'll often find us Floridians decorating palm tress with Christmas lights, and there's been several years where I've even gone to the beach on New Year's Day with the family.

With this in mind, we decided to stick to what we know and bring in some warmer climates with Maureen Cracknell’s latest collection, Sun Kissed! Inspired by soaking up the sunshine and glowing skin after a cool swim, this fabric line features cute smiley suns, swimming ...

Falling for Fall: Autumn Vibes Fabric Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Happy Fall, Ya'll!

Hope you're as excited as I am with this new season that's finally here!

Hands down, fall is my favorite time of year, even though we're here in Florida where we don't really have seasons..minus hurricane season! I still like to pretend the leaves change color and force myself to wear "cozy layers" despite the humidity. There's something so festive about this time of year that's super exciting! It's that time when you get to gather with your family and friends, eat a ton of pumpkin-flavored foods, continue ...

Are Pockets a Must? from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Hello my creative friends!!

As one famous designer once said “…. I went to fashion school for four years and then work for a very long time just to realize that all women want is pockets!" Now, don’t ask me who the designer was, but for sure she or he was completely right!

Muse Magic: "Flower Child" Fabric Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Did you ever believe in magic as a child or would pretend to live in an enchanted land? When I was around seven years old, I distinctly remember watching the Disney movie “Peter “Pan” and instantly believing in fairies mainly because of the character “Tinkerbell.” It was during this time as well that I was having frequent visits by “the tooth fairy," so how could you not believe that fairies existed?! I remember that same year, I was also “Tinkerbell” for Halloween and even made my own bottle of “pixie dust” that was a little glass bottle with cork top ...

Sewcial Bee Sampler Finish from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

I rarely make quilts from an entire collection of fabrics or by a specific designer.  But when I saw that Maureen Cracknell and Sharon Holland were going to host a Quilt Along last spring, I thought it would be fitting to break out my treasured Maureen Cracknell fabrics.

A new block was released each week.  I didn't always do a great job of keeping up but it never took me too long to catch back up again.  Some of the blocks have frames and some are without.  My goal from the beginning was to use a different fabric for ...
