A PORTABLE sewing machine from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

OK -- the quilt is done, but it's still on the long arm. I didn't have time to get it off as I have two more presentations this morning, and prepping them was my priority. I'll take it off later today.

I'm going to take responsibility for the fact that the backing needed to be fixed ON the machine, and I'll take responsibility for the fact that I should NEVER have loaded this because I should have checked. I made an ASSUMPTION as this customer always provides loads of backing. How did I fix it?

Well ...

Miss Fix- IT!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I have been totally neglecting my e-mail. Once I check it on my desktop computer first thing in the morning, I glance at it on my phone throughout the day, but I rarely respond to anyone. Then when I try to sync the desktop the following day, it takes a LONG time for the e-mails to go through, including the one where I've e-mailed myself the pictures for the blog. Sigh..............

It is supposed to sync automatically throughout the day, and not sure why that isn't happening anymore. I think I have figured out how to force it ...

I NEED a new long arm from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh dear --- the inevitable happened this morning. I decided that I need a new long arm. However, I don't think that is going to happen unless I win the lottery. Fortunately, there is "nothing" wrong with mine, except this.

As I mentioned the useable space on my machine is 17". I know it looks like more in the picture, but with the size of the head and the spacing required, plus allowing for the quilt to roll up (which doesn't take much as it gets compressed on the roller), I end up with 17" or workspace. I learned ...

ยป Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh my --- what great fun we had at the virtual retreat! We had a great visit with Jenny from Australia, where it's winter! But not like our winter. And there was the usual gang of misfits! OK - maybe I was the only misfit? No, I don't think so. I love that we all get along and have some wonderful conversations, and we learn so much from each other.

The conversations are entertaining, and you can just listen, especially when you have an ugly job to do. Before I went to retreat last week, I had an issue with ...

S L O W D O W N from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

So far, so good! Everything is on track; I'm puttering around and keeping the tables clear - whether the cutting table or my computer desk. I've realized that I'm using my cutting table as a general-purpose work table. As I clear part of it off, I put stuff on it that needs to be dealt with! That makes perfect sense, and I'm OK with that. The key is to NOT let things remain there, and I think I've got that habit well under control now.

Same thing with the paper in the office. I've managed ...

I've got your back from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Even though it was a warm day yesterday - at least by the thermometer, it wasn't warm at all. It was windy and rainy and a perfect day to stay inside. Oh don't worry - I still managed my 7 + miles for the day by having two outdoor walks with the girls and walking around the house getting stuff done. I'm on track with my challenges and I'm not finding it hard to get that mileage in every day.

Now if I were a snail? That might be 7 inches in a day! Although I didn't see ...

That's a wrap! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

What's with the weather? Not only have we almost been blown out of this country by the constant winds which, with the lower temperatures, makes for some chilly walks but this morning? The cars are dusted with snow! I suppose we should be happy that we don't have to shovel, but really? I'd like one nice WARM morning for a walk. At least there is no wind this morning and the sun is out.

Another crazy, wild day around my house! OK - so not crazy at all, but still, lots of stuff got done. I'm happy ...
