Tips for making the Bali Spice pattern from Koolkat Quilting

Once you have cut the 45 degree angle off your strips, join them together so that the 45 degree angle stays true. You will need to sew from the angled end each time. This will give you a parallelogram shaped section as shown in diagram 2. (The straight edge may be on the left or the right side. Doesn’t matter which.) Don’t forget to press seams open.

Bali All-sorts pattern used in making Isisford quilt. from Koolkat Quilting

These two quilts made by Pauline arrived today from Isisford.  The first, SF49ers, is being quilted with the happy times e2e machine quilting pattern.  The second, Bali All-sorts has been adapted from Kathy's Bali All-sorts pattern, and is being quilted with the plush e2e pattern.

Bali Butterfly and stitchery quilt from Koolkat Quilting

The stitchery quilt was delivered by Betty from Placid Hills who chose the meandering leaves e2e pattern for her quilt.  Kathy of KoolKat's Bali Butterfly pattern was chosen by Debby from Belivah to make the batik quilt which features the butterflies e2e pattern.

Toowoomba quilt show starts today from Koolkat Quilting

Toowoomba Quilters Inc annual quilt exhibition starts today at the Salo Centre, Rome Street, just behind St Ursula's College.  KoolKat Quilting will again have a stall, but with a new look this year.  Just completed and on display for the first time is a range of hand-dyed fabrics made by Kathy of KoolKat.  Along with a range of her other hand-made items, plus completed quilts, machine quilting information and morning demonstration of Kathy's textile art skills, KoolKat again has an eye-catching display.

The quilt show runs all week and finishes early Friday afternoon.
