Basket of Fun from Stash Overflow

Here in central Maryland, we’re experiencing a couple of beautiful days in between rain storms. I went out for my second walk this week yesterday. Boy, am I out of shape. I really need to do something about that.

May 30 was sweatshop for Ladies of the Sea with Polly at Spring Water Designs. Polly is ahead of me, as usual. I pressed and trimmed the blocks that have the inking completed, decided on the sashing and the sawtooth border accent color. When you fall off the horse … from Stash Overflow

Get back on. No, I haven’t been horse riding. The horse I fell off of was keeping notes about what I’ve done in the studio and writing about them. Even though I wasn’t keeping notes all the time, I’ve got a lot to share.

4/23 – I sorted the scrap bin from the garage. Yay! All the scraps have now been sorted and I have an empty bin to put to use doing other things.

Classics Reimagined from Quilted Joy

The word classic means “judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.” What this means, is classic quilt designs are classic because they have stood the test of time and are considered appealing no matter the age. But beauty can be added to, and innovation can bring new life to old but beautiful designs. I made this Christmas quilt for my son and daughter-in-law. I gave it to them early, so they could enjoy it this Holiday season.
