Patches and Scat from Quilt Doodle Doodles

Shhhh…… the leaves are turning.... I'm sweeping leaves off my deck that have fallen from my oak and maple trees. I think it's too early, but when I look on the calendar, no not really. September and back to school is in a week.... fall is almost here. Before I know it, I'll be pulling out the fall decorations. So to celebrate the upcoming fall I have a new design that can be found in my Etsy shop. An adorable goofy pumpkin named Patches and his friend Scat the black cat. I was able to complete this ...

Blueberry Pie from Quilt Doodle Doodles

When I was a teenager, I spent a summer making pies with my grandma. I had just learned how to make crust from scratch and I was pretty proud of myself with my new skill. I remember making banana cream, apple and chocolate cream pie that summer. Grandma always had dessert to go with our meals. She was a seasoned farmhouse cook and all of her recipes were second nature to her, a bit of this and a dash of that. Everything always was delicious! I'm more of a follow a recipe and measure girl. I rarely venture out ...

Cute Campers Quilt from The Cutting Table Quilt Blog - A Blog for Quilters by Quilters

Cute Camper Quilt Tutorial
Have you heard of “glamping?” It’s just like camping…but with a touch of glamour! Instead of roughing it with the bare essentials, you bring along the comforts of home: running water, air conditioning, a welcome mat, and a real queen bed!
Cute Camper Quilt Tutorial
Here at Missouri Star, we hold an annual glamping retreat. Quilters make the trek to Hamilton with the cutest little trailers in tow. Some trailers are painted pink and blue. Some have polka dot curtains. Some are decorated with plastic pink flamingos. The whole scene is so adorable, it inspired this week’s new quilt!

Flopsie Bunny from Quilt Doodle Doodles

We sure have been enjoying the spring weather here in Minnesota. I have spring fever so bad and have taken the time to check out my perennial gardens even though it's way too early for me to uncover anything. Since I can't be outside yet playing in the garden, I have been designing some springtime designs to applique. I have another fun one for spring or Easter.... Flopsie Bunny.
To make the design, first trace out all of the pieces onto the heat n bond fusible interfacing. (Or what ever brand you like to use) Iron it onto ...

Little Bunny Butts.... from Quilt Doodle Doodles

What's cuter then a little baby's butt, well a bunny butt. Who can resist the cuteness of that fluffy cotton ball tail? I just had to draw one up to do heat n bond applique with. The bunnies usually play havoc with my garden so I have a bunny proof fence now. All of my perennials are bunny and deer proof so that I can enjoy the blooms too! But the bunnies have been known to dig up and eat my potted plants that I have on my deck.

To make the design, first trace out all of ...

Bundle Up Llama from Quilt Doodle Doodles...

Oh my gosh... it's still snowing here in Minnesota..... again. It has snowed more in the last two weeks then it has all winter. I'm pretty sure it's at least a foot of snow out there now after all the storms we've had lately. Belvedere has learned how to frolic like a reindeer to get around in the deep snow with his stubby little legs! It's pretty cute to watch... I've pretty much have turned into a hermit and have stayed indoors. I have managed to do a little sewing. Bundle Up Llama is ...

A Fun Trick or Treat Bag! from Quilt Doodle Doodles...

Trick or Treat! I know it's a bit early to think about those little goblins that ring the doorbell Halloween night, but, it's not too early to do some special sewing for the little monsters sweeties in your life. I doodled up a bat the other day, sorta a spin off of my Going Batty mug rug. It's a spooky little bat that you can applique onto a tea towel if you'd like but I decided to make a trick or treat bag. Better yet, this Trick or Treat bag will hold a ton of goodies ...

Farm Delivery Table Runner from Quilt Doodle Doodles

I just got back a couple weeks ago from spring market in Portland. It was so much fun! (I'll have to gather all my pictures and share them with you!)I had several new items that I showed at Market... One of my new patterns that I had on display was my new Farm Delivery applique pattern. It features a cow arriving on the farm and a hound dog chasing the farm truck with a big 'welcome'! I enjoyed drawing this design up and have been having fun with it. Did you know you can do more with my ...

Let's Begin the 2018 BOM! from Quilt Doodle Doodles

January is finally here! Happy New year everyone! I am looking forward to showing you the first block to kick off the beginning of this year's BOM. But first there's a little prep work to do. If you haven't picked out your fabric yet, go run and raid your stash or run to your local quilt shop for some yummy flannels... if it's like sub-zero temperatures like it is here. With just a few clicks in my Etsy Shop, I will ship you a fabric kit for this years quilt. The info and links can be ...
