What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Good morning, my friends. Can you believe it's the last day of July already? My mind is still back in March, as if we've only just returned home from our winter trip. And now...here we are, halfway through summer. We'll be home all of August, but we have a trip planned for mid-September. As the time gets closer, I’ll say more about where we’re going. Also, we’re still sweating the possibility of a gas shortage. If that happens, the trip is off.

Good morning my friends. It was a productive day yesterday. There were about a half dozen simple to-do's on my list, and I had everything done by lunch time. After that, I could get back to my sewing with no interruptions...except to let cats in and out. If you know cats, then you know they are always, always, always on the wrong side of the door.

Good morning, my friends. Camping is fun. Getting back to normal is also fun. We had grocery shopping to do yesterday, but we were finished and home before noon. Earlier, I had time to stitch up Tiny Treasure #70. This one has stem stitch, stem fill, lazy daisy, and fishbone stitches.

My week at work was mostly spent being involved in FoQ preparation. I long-armed mini quilts pieced using the Accuquilt system, packed up 2 sewing machines for demos, tidied up ruler quilting samples, and helped stuff leaflets into envelopes. I have selected some camera gear, hoping that I might do some filming at FoQ. I really want to take the mini Hover drone but its battery is dead!

Garden report: I have ONE hollyhock flower… I bet the rest won’t mature until next year. I have quite a few tiny tomatoes, raspberries that show no signs of fruit, very ...

 Ever since we moved here, fencing our property has been on the short list. There is a fence, but it's not on the property line and the one in place isn't in the best shape.Building 2 miles of fence in rugged terrain is a huge undertaking and I'm shaking my head that DH is taking this on at 62. Thankfully, our son is able to help, but they both come in with shirts and jeans and hats

Good morning, my friends. It was a busy day from start to finish yesterday. It got so late in the day, I barely did anything in the sewing room. Oh well. Plenty of other things were accomplished. There’s still a lot to do today, but it’ll be less hectic than yesterday. 

Before we needed to take off for the grocery store, I was able to stitch Tiny Treasure #66. This one has stem stitch, straight stitch, and satin stitch.

Good morning, my friends. My best laid plans for the week turned into better plans when Erik scored a campsite for our two camper rigs for later in the week. We already had a plan to visit the farmer's market yesterday morning, and so what started as a routine schedule for the week just got a whole lot busier. 

Before heading out for the farmer's market, I was able to stitch up the day's Tiny Treasure. This is Tiny Treasure #64. It has stem stitch, lazy daisy, running stitch, and French knot.

Good morning, my friends. It was a busy day here, as usual. Not everything got finished, but most everything did. My first trip outside was to take a look at the garden to see if I could put off the hoeing for another day. It looked pretty good to me, and so I'd planned to do that first thing this morning. Then, I awakened to the sound of thunder and flashes of lightning. It rained for a bit, and then the sky turned this weird shade of pinkish red.
