Day 27: Ladies who lunch:) from Nestlings By Robin

What do you do after a 10 hour computer day?
Eat lunch with friends and NOTHING else:)
Kathy Metelica Cray (center) did us a great favor
by collecting our quilts that were on exhibit at
the Florida Quilt Museum from September to December.

Brenda Grampsas and myself were unable to get there.

Nailing down a date between 3 very busy ladies was a challenge in itself but Brenda rose to the challenge and today we finally were able to meet up and collect our quilts.
Thank you both for a lovely day!!

These are the days that remind me I ...

Friendship Heart Quilt from Tea Rose Home

Do you ever look back at your past and the choices that you have made and how they have affected the life you live now? I do. Not that frequently, but sometimes an event happens in my life; mostly good things and I start reflecting on and connecting the past choices to now.

This week, I was surprised by one of the most amazing and generous gifts and many emotions flooded my mind. Over 10 years ago, I started blogging. I was kind of testing what this "blogging" this was all about, and started sharing the things I made. There ...

Day 7: FRIENDSHIP from Nestlings By Robin

Today is my annual Quilt Guild Christmas party!  They have been my friends for 7 years now.  Hard to believe I have been in one place that long!
Am I super close to all of them? No, but they greet me warmly and I want to hug each one of them when I see them and my day is much happier when I am around them so they are my friends!

I haven't been to guild in 2 months due to travel which will make this meeting even more joyful.

Who is your group that makes you happy?

Pop ...

Meet Friends from In the Boondocks

The point of social media is to meet new friends!  But how often do we actually go out and meet someone
we talk to daily on social media.

This is my wonderful friend Leona!
I talked to her on Flickr, her blog, and Instagram for about 5 maybe 6 years.  I can honestly say it was so different to meet her in person.  It has changed that friendship into something greater.

I am so happy we went a couple of hours out of our way on vacation to met her and her son.  Best trip just for a conversation in ...

I Just Wanna Have Fun from Lisa H Calle's Blog

Most of you know it’s with much excitement that I’ve announced that Perfect Plumes has made its big debut.  But what you don’t know is that during the process of constructing my latest class, with a little help, I filmed a little promo video for the launch of my newest addition.  Below you will find the small segment to watch, if you haven’t already. And if you’re about to click “play” keep in mind that there’s nothing I love more than adding a bit of comedy into my work days.

So feel free take ...

Snow and Slow to Lancaster 2018 We Go! from Lisa H Calle's Blog

I’m still looking for February; and searching high and low for March!

I spent the better portion of last week at the AQS Lancaster Quiltweek.  My trip began with a lovely spring blizzard which kindly dropped 12″ of snow on surrounding roads.  Moreover,  it’s timing couldn’t have been better…not.   Those beautiful, white, flakes began falling from the sky above on the day I was scheduled to leave.  But I pulled my big girl snow pants up, as high as they would go, and prayed that my 4 wheel drive SUV was up to challenge of  transporting ...

Social/Sewcial from MMM Quilts

Tomato/tomato....

Happy start of a new year, both exciting and a bit daunting as one looks down the next stretch of 364 days. I hope you spent last night doing just what you pleased. I did. More on that in the second half of this post.

Social

I am super-excited, and pinch-me-I-can't-believe-I'm-doing-this and well, yeah, a wee bit nervous, to announce that I am one of the co-hosts for the 2018 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop.
Don't you just love the button Beth made? I sure do.  Some of you will know what this is all ...

Sewcial Bee Sampler Round Up from Needle and Foot

One of my favorite projects from this year has to be the quilt I made with the Sewcial Bee Sampler Quilt Along.  Remember this?  Hosted by Sharon Holland and Maureen Cracknell, there was one block released each Wednesday for twenty five weeks. There were several reasons for this being my favorite. One was the block design. The blocks were based on common piecing methods but Sharon and Maureen gave them a really modern look, probably because they included solids in their fabric selections. It gave the blocks such a fresh look.  Also, the blocks were doable.  I have been quilting ...

Bible Block Day! from From the Strawberry Patch...

Today is the day! Quiltkeemosabe and I have been at this for several years now; working our way through Rosemary Youngs' book: the Quilt Block Bible. Our get-togethers have been few and far between of late, life has gotten in the way. Somehow, even with a litany of other commitments between the two of us, we have managed to prioritize and get a Bible Block Day back onto our calendars! Our days
