I have a confession to make. Even though I live in Ravens/Steelers territory, I am an unabashed Patriots fan. My husband is the reason. Well, his dad actually. His father is from Gloucester (pronounced “glaw-STAH), Massachusetts and infected his son early with the love of the heartbreaking teams of New England. Terry was Bobby Orr for his first few Halloweens.

five day weekends are da bomb . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

That's right.  I took Thursday and Monday's a holiday, so five day weekend. Bliss!
I've gotten a lot started and finished so far, too! I told you about my idea for an acorn mug rug, right? How that? Concept to actualization! It was a little tricky, but worth the effort. I'll probably make at least one more of these ... maybe two or three!

I was bullied into encouraged to finish the patriotic topper . . .

I Miss Football… from Made By Marney

This is the time of year that I miss watching my team play football every week. If my favorite team does not make the playoffs, January is a very gloomy time of year.

I designed this paper pieced pillowcase for my favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. But, since I love football in general, I didn’t want to omit other fans favorite teams. I went on to design these pillowcase patterns so other fans could have fun paper piecing, too.

Minnesota Vikings will be the only team from the Central Division to advance to the playoffs…
