Flower Tile: a charm pack quilt for spring from Carried Away Quilting

February may be winding down, but winter is not. Today we’re in a blizzard warning and the week ahead will bring more snow and cold temps. Once again, I looked to my quilts to bring a vision of spring to the inside of my home since mother nature is not cooperating.  Yesterday I graced our table with my Flower Tile quilt, and it cheered me right up!

Flower Tile is a charm pack quilt that finishes at 44 1/2" square. My sample features the Strawberry Fields Revisited collection by Fig Tree & Company, but I think this pattern would ...

Spring pattern sale from Carried Away Quilting

We are experiencing bitterly cold weather in central Minnesota. Yep, today's low temperature was -11 F.  (They say it's going to warm up to zero this afternoon.)  Next week our temps are expected to dip near -30 F. That is just not right! Don't even get me started on the snow and wind that the weather stations are also predicting.

Quilting brings the cheer when the weather is something to fear! from Carried Away Quilting

The calendar might say April 7, but in central Minnesota we are still experiencing winter. Mother Nature hit us with nine new inches of snow last weekend, and the weather man is predicting more snow this weekend. Ugh!  Quilt making and decorating with quilts is my refuge as I wait for sunshine, green grass, flowers and warm breezes.

Right now our guest bedroom is the most sunny room in the house. It literally gets the best afternoon light, but I've also added sunshine to the room with my quilts. Above the daybed I've hung my "Flower Tile" quilt ...

Custom kits featuring Ella & Ollie by Fig Tree & Company from Carried Away Quilting

Happy National Quilting Day! As promised, I've made up several custom kits with Carried Away Quilting patterns, all featuring the beautiful new collection by Fig Tree & Company, Ella & Ollie!

Please note that I am not a fabric store, and I only purchase a small supply of fabric annually for use in my pattern design. So these kits are limited in number and once they are gone, they are gone. I appreciate your support and enthusiasm, but please remember that my blog sponsors (whose logos run along the left-hand side of my website) typically carry the same collections that I ...

New pattern: Flower Tile, a charm pack quilt from Carried Away Quilting

Since ringing in the new year, I've introduced you to four new Carried Away Quilting patterns, and today we have number five: Flower Tile. This one might be my favorite.

Flower Tile is inspired by the delicate symmetry found on beautiful painted floor tiles in historic homes. Thin sashing mimics crisp grout lines, while a repeated pattern of softly colored prints creates a lovely cohesive effect. It’s the perfect pattern to show off your favorite charm pack

This quilt finishes at 44 1/2" square and lends itself to many different fabric styles and colorways. Sew up Flower ...
