One Pattern ~ Two Quilts from Life in the Scrapatch

I seem to be sewing my quilts in pairs this year.

FQS Snowballs Quilt Along ~ Night Hike from Life in the Scrapatch

My Night Hike Fat Quarter Snowballs Quilt!

Started with this wonderful  Night Hike by Heather Givans for Windhan Fabrics
Fat Quarter Bundle
and background fabric, binding fabric and backing.

The Fat Quarter Bundle came presorted into lights and darks,
making the fabric requirements for this quilt even easier.

The  pattern called for six light and six dark fat quarters,
but I wanted to use more of these fabrics,
so my top looks scrappier than most.

I love scrappy quilts!

Fat Quarter Shop Patchwork Quilt Auctions from In the Boondocks

The Fat Quarter Shop created the Patchwork Quilt pattern  to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  They exceeded the $10,000 goal and raised over $12,000! Which means Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics will each be matching the maximum $10,000, for a total of $20,000 on top of all the $5 donations from the pattern.  That is why I love these companies!

WIP | Daisy Days Blocks from Busy Hands Quilts

I'm having fun making the cutest blocks in Daisy Days for an upcoming Fat Quarter Shop Quilt Along.  The pattern calls for mini charm squares, but I used a jelly roll to strip piece the blocks.  I'm a stripper all the way!  You'll find I include it in my quilt patterns whenever possible.

My finish is a twin size Jolly Bar Jazz quilt in Sweet Marion fabrics, made as part of a Fat Quarter Shop Shortcut Quilt Along!

The Jolly Bar Jazz Shortcut Quilt pattern features jolly bars, an exclusive Moda product at Fat Quarter Shop.  They are a stack of 5" x 10" rectangles.

I changed the size of the white border and added a floral border to make it a twin size.
