Spring Has Sprung and Farmer's Market from Log Cabin Quilter

An update on the "Farmer's Market" quilt that I am working on.  I finished all the applique blocks of which there are a total of ten.  The pattern I am using is by Blackbird Designs and in the "Fresh Picked" book.   I am repeating the flower blocks I showed on my previous post so you can see all in one viewing and decide on your favorite.

I have not yet started cutting out the pieced blocks but will be doing that soon.

Next up is a finish on an U.F.O.  I started working on the wool project ...

Buhl Quilt Update and Farmer's Market from Log Cabin Quilter

March found me still working on the top border for the Buhl quilt.  The monthly patterns have divided the borders into parts so the applique is manageable to be able to accomplish before the next set of patterns is available.  This month, I added the flower on the left and two flowers on the right hand side.

to market, to market from ocd: obsessive craft disorder

So this spring I got myself a sewing room (more on that later!!).  But in the process of moving my stash, I realized how much I had hidden in the bowels of every closet of my home!  Time to streamline a bit.  So I took all my very favorite must-keep fabrics and put them on the shelves, which left me with multiple containers full of "second string" fabrics that I needed to do something with.  While I plan to destash some eventually, I decided the best way to get rid of it was to sew it up!  So, along with ...

Two Finishes, Two UFOs from Quilt Talk

Halloween is just 10 days away; this UFO needs a border and a finish STAT!
My first on point project.  It won't be for sale -  it'll be made by Chris for Chris.
