Small Fall Quilt Projects

Hello and happy Thursday! Today is our Minis & More parade day, and we’re sharing small fall quilt projects. We usually post closer to the first of the month, but the hurricane was just a little too close to Michele, so we decided to postpone until today. But now we’re ready with some fall inspiration […]

Pumpkin Sky Pillow: Let's feature a white pumpkin! from Carried Away Quilting

Hello quilting friends!  I’m popping in today to share a small project I’m working on, another Pumpkin Sky pillow. This one features a white pumpkin with butterscotch-colored flying geese on a scrumptious denim blue background. I still need to add the side borders and then quilt and bind my pillow, but I already love how it looks.

Below is a photo of my original Pumpkin Sky pillow, sewn up in a much more traditional autumn/Halloween color palette and quilted by the super talented Starlit Bear of Starlit Quilts. Isn't her artistry just amazing? Pumpkin Sky is ...

Design Wall Monday - November 12, 2018 from Small Quilts and Doll Quilts

Today is Veterans Day in the United States.  There are, according to the History Channel, 16.5 million living veterans who have served in at least one war, and 5.2 million living veterans who have served in times of peace.  Thank you to all of our veterans for your service and sacrifice.  While visiting our daughter last week, I made replacement oven mitts for some I made for her a few years

Another favorite from several years back is this All Hallow’s Eve Silhouette wall hanging from Fig Tree Quilts.  Seriously, super cute; I love bringing it out in October.

Fall quilts from Pieced Brain

Fall Quilt
This is one of my favorite mini quilts I made: it measures 11" x 13.5" and it is heavily quilted. I used a crayon to add the clouds because my youngest son thought the landscape needed them. I took this photo at my oldest son's place. He saw the quilt, loved it, so I had to give it to him.

Speaking of my son's place, it is spotless. He works very long hours, is a single parent to two amazing boys, and still makes sure the place is clean. I am so proud of him for many ...

Fall Quilts & Fall Projects

Hello and happy Tuesday!  We have had a lot of really hot weather this summer.  A lot.   And while we are usually blessed with a dry heat, this year we have had really high humidity as well.  So, about this time of year I start longing for cooler temperatures.  While day-time temperatures will be in the triple digits for at least another 6 weeks, we should start to get some cooler evenings mid-way through September!  I can’t wait!  I’m starting to want to begin to pull out my favorite fall quilts and fall projects.  I’ve decided to ...
