Get That Stuff Done… from Adele Mogavero

Why not make 2021 a year to get that stuff done? Those UFOs. Pesky projects started, but for one reason or another, they ended up in some bin. Forgotten. Unfinished. Wasting Space. Don’t you think it’s time to get them out of the way? Out ....

And It Will Be A Day of Joy and Laughter from Adele Mogavero

May it be a day of joy and laughter! … and it will… I am convinced that God speaks to me through all things: For example, devotionals, the bible, pink skies, and everything that is happening to me during the day. Before I read a ....

The Fruit Of The Spirit – A Quilters Journey from Adele Mogavero

I’ve read the Fruit of The Spirit Scripture a zillion times over the years. But I looked at as a list of how to act. Loving, kind, gentle, joyful, patient, etc. You know, perfect. And of course, none of us are perfect! It took reading ....

It’s About Charity and Giving Back from Adele Mogavero

When I opened The Quilted Bungalow, formerly Del~Lillian’s, I decided that some of the money (10%) would go to charity. I read undaunted by Christine Caine last Spring. That’s also about the time my passion for quilting was beginning to bubble up, especially when I ....

Are You Working Against Yourself? from Adele Mogavero

You start working against yourself if your thinking pattern starts with I hate this or that… Let me show you what I’m talking about. When I opened my shop in 2012, it was merely a diversion of sorts, something to do for fun.     It ....

Be An Eccentric Star from Adele Mogavero

Ohh, eccentric behavior. What makes you point at someone and say: She’s a little odd or, my neighbor is a bit eccentric? Just because it is odd or weird to you sure don’t make it so.  Look at Noah. Well, maybe it didn’t make sense ....

With A Dash Of Hope from Adele Mogavero

With a dash of hope, I finished my Peach Cobbler block and wondered how it got its name. Was the designer making a peach cobbler at the time? Did they make all the original peach cobbler blocks with peachy colored fabrics? I see hope, not ....

Wednesday's Word: Psalm 13. Wednesday's Wrap Up. I Like Thursdays. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

 Wednesday's Word: Psalm 13

Isn't life interesting?  There are highs and lows, hills and valleys, joy and pain.
David begins Psalm 13 with feelings of abandonment and defeat,
but ended with rejoicing and praise.  What changed David's heart and attitude?  How did he go from defeat to victory?
He. Prayed.  Yup, he prayed.  His prayer was simple. Direct. To The Point.
Sandwiched between despair and victory was a 36 word prayer.
Imagine that.

Wednesday's Wrap Up
I wasn't happy with this block from my Stitcher's Garden.  The petals from the flower weren't evenly ...

Monday's & Tuesday's Strength: When Our World Collapses. Book Date. Pressing On. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Monday's Strength: When Our World Collapses
Continued study of some of the verses shared in Lynn Austin's Until We Reach Home.
When I was but a young girl, I asked Grandpa about married life. I was curious because I knew Daddy had been born during The Great Depression. I wanted to know how Grandpa had managed as not only was he supporting Grandma with a baby on the way (Daddy); he was helping to support his mother and siblings.

After a moment, he thoughtfully responded that married life could sometimes be like a square table with only three ...

Don’t Get Caught Up In the Negative Stuff from Adele Mogavero

Discoveries from From the Strawberry Patch...

It's been a weekend of discoveries just outside the door. These precious little pink blooms appeared on the top of a lemon-scented geranium that I planted in a pot out on the patio. The flowers are truly secondary, I bought the plant as a natural mosquito repellent, it's grown quite large (from now on I'll realize that it needs its own pot as it has taken over and crowded out the Million Bells
