Loving this quilt... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I didn't get everything done that I had planned.  LOL!  I knew that wasn't going to happen.  :)  I did get the binding sewn by hand on the cardinal quilt.  I also got this queen size quilt loaded and about 2/3 of it quilted.
I'll have to say that I'm anxious to post a pic of the whole quilt once I get it finished.  This is a customer quilt that is pieced from 10" squares.  The most awesome thing about it is that none of the fabrics go together normally but once pieced together they look ...

Beautiful Cardinal Quilt from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Yesterday I quilted this beautiful customer quilt.  I just love it!  She did an awesome job piecing it too.  As I was quilting it I kept thinking that I needed one of those Cardinal panels.  I may end up buying one but then again who knows when I would have time to sew it up.  :)  Anyway...I enjoyed quilting this beauty.
We decided to use this quilting design because she didn't want the quilting to compete with the cardinals.  That's also another reason that I love Glide thread.  It's so fine that it doesn't take away ...

A little more progress... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Felt a little better yesterday so I tried to get in a little quilting.  I'm loving this gold thread on this backing.
I still did not get it finished as my energy level is still not back to normal and I also had to do a little housework.  :(  I only have about 20 more minutes of quilting and then it will be finished and ready to ship out.  I am behind schedule now, I had put my back out then this horrid virus so I'm going to have to really buckle down and get some stuff done!
 As ...

Two new blocks...Lori Holt's Block Along from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Since my last post a few days ago this is what I have made.  :)  These are the first two blocks of Lori Holt's Block-Along.  These fabrics are a little different from what I usually go with but it's fun sometimes to step out of the norm.  This star block is 12"
This is block #2!  This one is 15" and went together pretty quick.
Here they are together on my design wall.
Here is a quick pic of the blocks that I have on my design wall.  The purple tulip block is my newest applique quilt.  That is ...

Back to normal - almost.. from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Things are almost back to normal. Two computer things left that I can think of. My email contact list is gone so I have to remake my groups and contacts. Shoot - I must remember in future to make a copy of that file and have it save on the external hard disk That's a bit of a bummer, but it can be recreated. That means that I have NO autofill for e-mail addresses. As I send out notices, the autofill will be recreated, but right now - it's a pain to send out e-mails!

The second thing - I tried ...

Published Quilting from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

I'm excited to say that I had the honor of quilting this beautiful quilt that was published in the April 2019 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting!!!!
The awesome Tara Baisden of Quilter's Ridge designed and pieced it.  :)  Let me just say that in person the quilt is even more beautiful.  American Patchwork & Quilting is hosting a sew-along on FB if anyone wants to join.  :)
Yep! It's there in the fine print.  :)  I have to say that this was very exciting to me!  Of course, when the magazine came out I bought 5 copies!  LOL!  Richard and I ...

Technology is not my friend from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

My computer has been slowing down over the last little bit and I attributed it to not shutting it off and clearing the memory from time to time. But the other day something serious happened and it went into slow motion mode. In Outlook almost every keystroke meant a "not responding" message. I couldn't take it anymore - besides it was getting harder and harder to get anything done.

I called GeekSquad. They took control of my computer for hours - I mean hours and it's much better today. Not sure that it's 100%, but better. They suggested I ...

Self Control from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I swear my brain has been taken over by aliens. The self-control I have these days is blowing my mind! Today is the first day of Roll up the Rim at Tim's. I used to go crazy and would buy up to two or three cups a day. I wanted that chance to WIN!!  What was I going to win? In all the years I've been playing, I never won anything big. The odds are not in my favor. I don't eat the cookies from there anymore and I drink ONE decaf tea a week and I ...

Homework is done! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

What a difference a week can make! The weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday and so much of our snow has melted. I have pictures to share tomorrow. However, it wasn't quite like that first thing in the morning. I got Murphy ready for her walk and went outside. Thankfully I had my hand on the railing. The entire step, driveway and it seemed like the street was coated in a thin layer of ice.

I decided to come back in. Let's say it was an uphill battle. I had to hold onto the railing while pulling a very ...

This is how I roll................. from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh dear - the day I have to downsize, I'm going to be in a lot of trouble. Of course, I might not care at that point.

I'm trying very hard to keep the studio in reasonable shape. That way, it's less stuff to move when we have Sit n Sew days. Those sessions are filled to capacity and beyond so we need every bit of space so we can move.

BUT when I'm alone - I spread out like crazy! My morning class got canceled (not because of lack of attendance - oh no!). It was due to ...

Mark these dates!!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

A couple of dates that I forgot to mention or I want to mention again.

Tomorrow is the first class for the modern block quilt called Lilla. The class takes place at Oh Look Fabric in Milton. There are 25 different "modern" blocks in the quilt. We're going to walk through the process of choosing fabrics, lots of sewing, cutting, and pressing tips. And design - we're going to design our own quilts. If you want a fun evening out - sign up for the class by calling the store.

If you're in the market to ...

Cowboy Christmas... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Just a quick little post this morning so that I can get my day started.  Here is a customer quilt that I did a few days ago.  She didn't have the piecing finished before Christmas but it will be ready to use for next Christmas now.  :)
Such fun western themed Christmas fabric.
I quilted it with gold stars.
Here is another one that I can't show the whole quilt but I had to deal with this wavy border.  :(  I will never say anything bad about anyone's quilt but there are some that really make me work for ...

It's all about Ronda!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

From time to time, Ronda pops over for a sewing day. Don't worry - she does ask before she comes. We each sew on our own projects just like a sit n sew. If anyone else wants to come, you can ask and if I'm free, you're welcome to come. But yesterday? Well - it was definitely all about Ronda!

We started off with a couple of machine embroidery designs that we were going to make into mug rugs. Unfortunately, there was a wee problem with the embroidery designs when we went to add the second thread color so ...

It's a new day........... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Today is my last day to eat unhealthily. Oh yes - I paid the price for eating bad over the holidays. I stepped on the scale and it wasn't pretty. Of course, I think I "bulked" up in anticipation of what's coming.

Actually, the switch to healthy eating is not going to be that bad and I'm already following most of the rules. What are the changes? No dairy - no big deal, other than a bit of yogurt and cheese, I don't eat cow dairy. It won't be hard to give that up. No alcohol. No ...

Crackers and Customer Quilts.... from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

Yesterday I spent most of the day piddling instead of sewing.  I did get a customer quilt loaded on the longarm.  It's a small one with a few issues but I will get it quilted sometime today.

I did piece 5 more Cracker blocks.  Nothing major but just added a few more to the stack.  I did a little cleaning and organizing up in my sewing room too.
Here is another random customer quilt that I quilted recently.  Just to add another pic to this blog post.  LOL!  A classic looking quilt that I really enjoyed quilting.  If I ...

Let's try this again! from ~ CowgirlQuilter ~

So let's try this again!  :)  I really used to love posting on my blog but for the past couple of years it has been hard for me to concentrate on posting regularly.  So my New Year's resolution is to post regularly on my blog.

Here is a random pic of a custom T-Shirt quilt that I made for a customer and dear friend.  This was a birthday gift for her daughter.  I absolutely love making these T-shirt quilts for people.
I have a ton of other customer quilt pics that I have quilted lately and I will probably ...

~ Autumn Memories by Anne Taylor ~ from Podunk Pretties

Nothing makes me happier than to see quilts made with my patterns.  Anne Taylor sent these pictures to me a few weeks ago. Sadly I forgot all about them until yesterday evening when cleaning out my emails.  I have folder just for customer quilts.   Anne please forgive me for letting you adorable Autumn Memories quilt set tucked away for so long.
Look closely at the amazing quilting!  Butterflies and a cobblestone road, how creative!

This pattern can be found in both my Etsy and Craftsy shops.  Links for both shops are at the top of this blog.  When ordering from ...

Sleepless in the city................... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Can you tell me why it is that we can wake up at 1 AM which is way too early to get up even for me! But I'm wide awake at that moment thinking (with zeal) about what I'm going to do today. Then I finally fall asleep and wake up at the right time - totally exhausted? Drives me crazy when that happens. No worries - I'm up now and excited for the day ahead.

Today, I was hoping to post the pictures from our $25 classes this past year, but what I have to say is more ...

What we did at Sit n Sew from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I love having Monday Sewing back to back with Sit n Sew. Sewing with friends is ..... well - it's therapy, it's what keeps me sane and the things that I get done and the things that I learn - no comparison. If you don't have a chance to sew with friends, well - you're missing out on something very special.

Let's see what everyone was working on at Sunday Sit n Sew. I tell you the new dates for 2019 filled up faster than I could get the e-mails read!!!!  I wish I had a bigger space.

Ronda ...
