Thank God For My Cancer Diagnosis. Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Sunday Stats from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Thank God For My Cancer Diagnosis

Yes, you read correctly:  Thank God for my cancer diagnosis.  There's a verse that I remember when I am confused about my journey:  Isaiah 55:8-9.  When life hits, this is my go-to verse, my anchor.  Life has hit.  Dad has been diagnosed with METS (metastatic cancer).  He has advanced stage prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones.  In November 2018 his CT scan was clear, now it's not.
We are very close - his role throughout my life has been both mother and father.  I thank God that I have been down ...

Wednesday's Word. Pressing On! BOMs Away! from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Wednesday's Word

I also enjoy the NIV version of this Romans 15:13 -

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in Him
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Romans 15:13

As we believe and trust in God, He will move.

Pressing On!
I press on toward the goal...Philippians 3:14a
Oh my!  The many BOMs I'm working on are definitely changing the way I organize my crafting time.  It looks like I didn't get much crossed off my ...

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching Sunday. Sunday Stats from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song
Here is a love letter from the Savior who loves you.

Promise Me

It's hard to imagine that
I've been there too
I've felt the passion burning in you
Every temptation, oh, I understand
Your Savior knows what it is to be a man
Promise me... promise me...
Before the passion turns to flame
Promise me you'll call my name
Promise me... promise me...
You'll remember these scars of grace
And remember I took your place
Promise me
I know what it's like when the
Nightmare comes true
Someone ...

Monday's Strength. Book Dating. Pressing On! from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Monday's Strength

I picked up this lesson from Jana Alcorn's book, Don't Throw in the Towel, Hope Again.  She pointed out that perhaps by Hezikiah turning to the wall, he was turning away from distractions.  Let us prayerfully turn into our wall and away from whatever may be distracting us from our precious LORD's voice.  Then, after meeting with the Source of our strength, we can courageously fight the good fight (1 Timothy 6:12).

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching Sunday. A Few Finishes. Sunday Stats. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song.
Events late in 2017 led me to practice surrendering my will to God's with trust and hope in 2018.  It's been a journey of growing faith, personal victory, stronger faith, joy, peace, surrender, steadfast faith, perseverance, building of character, strength - so many blessings from one mere trial!  Additionally, unbeknowest to me, God worked through 2018 to strenghthen me for 2019 as my dad, who has been both mother and father to me, has sudden, new health issues.

Regardless of the challenges that 2019 may bring, let us choose to go forth with the LORD's ...

Wednesday's Word #2. Crocheted Dishcloths! from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Wednesday's Word #2
Here is another promise from my Promise Box and from my Reading of Don't Throw in the Towel - Hope Again by Jana Alcorn.

Here is an easier to read version.

Interestingly enough, the LORD seems to sending me verses about resting. Life can be hard and complicated.
I'm finding great peace and serenity as I learn to rest in and trust my LORD and Savior instead of focusing on what can be petty circumstances - especially when compared to my God.

Someone once said that, when we get to Heaven, we will be surprised at ...

Saturday's Song: Surrounded (Fight My Battles). Slow Stitching. Stash Report. from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday Song: Surrounded
This week I was surrounded and then I heard this song, "Surrounded" sung by Michael W. Smith.  I was immediately encouraged and reminded who my Savior is!

When we are surrounded, let us remember we are surrounded by God Himself!

Slow Stitching Sunday
Today I slowed down with crocheting.  I made progress on my Spring Granny Afghan:

I also finished dishcloths 16-18/52 for the #yarnhoarderdishclothchallenge!

Here's the progress on my Still Stitching project.

Saturday's Song. Slow Stitching. Stash Report filled with pics! :) from Faith, Trust and Breast Cancer

Saturday's Song
Sometimes we just need a song that talks about being free, joyful and silly.  This one is it, for sure!  I love the part where it says, "Sing till the back row hears you"!  I have a terrible voice, but I can't help by sing my heart out during praise and worship!

I hope this video puts a smile on your face!  :)

Slow Stitching
Somewhere in the Internet World I saw a challenge that intrigued me.  It was to knit (in my case, crochet) a dishcloth a week.  Wow! What a stash buster that would be ...
