Cindy's Not Your Mother's Rail Fence 3.0 from Night Owl Quilting

Cindy sent me this crisp Not Your Mother's Rail Fence quilt.  I never get tired of quilting a pattern that is part of the Highway 10 Designs collection.  I know that Cindy enjoys making this pattern as I have quilt two for her in the past.  Check them out here and here.

Super Cute, Super Simple Finish from Needle and Foot

You know how you set something aside for so long and then somehow your mind decides it is going to take forever to finish it and you don’t want to so you just leave it there? Yeah, me too. Last fall I pieced a cute strip quilt using a focus print from Pandalicious. I had yardage in the shop and thought it would be fun to make one and then make up some kits for others to make it.

Last September…….

So I made up the quilt top and got it basted. I started to free motion quilt each ...

Lucky for us, the magnificent Tara Faughnan designed a modern Morning Star for our MODBlock Magazine, and it’s the perfect blend of quick, easy, and exciting! Click HERE to ...

In the olden days, laundry was scrubbed on washboards, hand-mixed bread was baked in finicky wood-burning stoves, and the Carpenter’s Star was stitched with labor intensive y-seams. It was a lot of work. Thank goodness for modern innovations!

Those beautiful patterns, bound in time by thread, became classics of the quilting world.
