Scrappy Disappearing Nine Patch from Quilts....etc.

Yesterday we celebrated the 4th at home by ourselves.  We had no plans and it was pretty much just another day for us.  Grass was cut, regular jobs around the house and I got down to work on the toddler quilt. I made a bunch of 9 patch blocks and got them cut in half […]

Piecing from Quilts....etc.

Yesterday I started to work on the toddle scrappy quilt – well scrappy in a way – the fabric line is a bunch of fat quarters that were in a bundle – so they are coordinated but yet this is a scrappy quilt if you know what I mean. I am cutting one strip to […]

Machine Quilted from Quilts....etc.

I really don’t care for machine quilting but I can do it.  I do not do free motion I have tried a couple times and the back of the project always looks horrible so I stick with straight lines or a wavy line that I can set on the machine and that is what I […]

Liberty of London

Visiting London means for me visiting Liberty shop at the first place. The most wonderful shop! I love everything there, the atmosphere, the antique architecture, the products they sell and most of all the fabrics. I used fill my suitcase with Liberty of London fabrics!

My last creations : a crib baby quilt and a cloud pillow.

I find the Liberty of London fabric perfectly well adapted for babies, due to its extreme softness.
As well so elegant!

You can find those items and many others here : yayaCousette

Machine Knitting from Becca's Crazy Projects

A friend of min had some Lion Brand Mandala she no longer wanted. She gave it to me and I decided to turn it into hats. This is what it looked like on the machine before I started the decreases for the top of the hat.
This photo, and the next, are more for me than you. Tension can be a tricky thing for a machine knitter. This is my tension setting on the yarn mast. I almost never change it. I just set it there and leave it alone.
What I do change, is the stitch length selector. This ...

Machine Knitting: LK150 from Becca's Crazy Projects

Look what I bought!
After borrowing my friend's LK150 knitting machine I decided to buy my own.
This machine is really a great way to get into machine knitting. This is what it comes with. Machine and carriage, row counter, yarn mast, comb weights, and more. Everything you need to get started.
Stitch transfer tools, spare needles, claw weights, ravel cord, latching tool, clamps, machine oil.
I added in some clamps and more claw weights. Now, I'm ready to get back to knitting tiny hats.

Time flies... already more than a year since I last came to my blog!!!

For me, as for everybody, life was not easy lately... and all those events brought many changes in our way of life.

However good things also happened : I now have five wonderful grand children, four boys and a girl and I mainly sew for them and for the family newborns. There are so many pleasant projects to create for babys, and they are so quickly done! It's such a pleasure to have a quick result. Therefore I am not working on big quilts anymore.

I ...
